Then as she turned to walk away he said, “Your father’s books were, of course, written under his name? I shall make enquiries to see if I have any of them in my library. If not, it is an omission that should be remedied.” For a moment Tamara held her breath and then, because she could think of nothing to say, she curtseyed again. “I thank Your Grace,” she murmured.
