“You’ll get yourself killed if you go after those hunters. You’re better off just forgetting about your wolfpack and starting a new life,” Navarro said.
My chest tightened at his words. I truly believed he would be willing to help me save everyone, but even if he didn’t, he had no right to just tell me to give up on my people. There was no way he could understand the responsibility that came with leading a wolfpack. A princess never turned her back on her pack. This showed me that he must have been a rogue for a while, and his thought process was just to leave people behind. This angered me more than I thought it would.
“Fine, don’t help me. I’ll just go on my own.” I got up and started walking away, unsure of where to go exactly. I just knew I wasn’t going to give up.
