Zoe’s POV
I stood there on the porch of the packhouse watching as Alex and all of the warriors left for battle against the rogue Alpha Calvin. I hope Alex finds Mason alright and they all come back safely. I watched Alex step through the portal first and disappear on the other side. I caught sight of Landon staring at me before he stepped through. His gaze was angry and malicious. What was he about to do?
That’s when I felt his presence brush up against my mind and say, “Your Alpha might not come back to you at all.”
My heart almost stopped in my chest and my breath caught in my throat. Was he going to try and hurt Alex? I stepped off the porch and went after all of the warriors as they stepped through The witch as the last one and I tried to catch up to her. The portal close
