Clossos

They came to a stop on the oval grounds Keila saw earlier. What were they doing here? Keila looked around not sure what to expect.  Mia went to an old huge wooden gate at one end of the square. "I hope he's not sleeping, I wouldn't want to wake the sleeping dragon." Mia chuckled at her own joke but Keila didn't know what she meant.  Suddenly she started panicking. "Oh my, no. Dragon? Like a real dragon? Where?"  "Right behind that door." Mia started opening the probably really heavy door but Keila didn't have time to think about how the princess was able to open such a heavy door. She had bigger problems. "What!? Wait no! Don't open the door." It was however too late. The door was halfway open and even when Mia stopped pulling the door kept opening even more. Keila stared in shock as a red-scaled snout was seen in the half-cracked door.  She couldn't move as the creature slowly came out from his lair. It was the size of a small house as it struggled to push itself through the gate.  The bright red scares turned black on his back and tail. His body was quite lean like a giant cat but his legs were sturdy and the claws on them scared Keila to death. It could rip her open in a second.  She looked up to his head and saw a pair of dangerous but mesmerizing black eyes. It felt as if the creature was staring right into her soul.  It slowly stretched its wings and Keila didn't doubt they could cause a little windstorm with the size they were. The dragon kept looking at her and started to get closer while Keila's feet were stuck to the ground. She saw a living dragon for the first time in her life and she would probably get killed by it in a second. She wasn't as scared as before. She was terrified, yes, but she was also mesmerized. Never in her life had she seen so mesmerizing eyes. They didn't look angry or violent, more like curious. The big creature stopped a few feet in front of her. She could feel it sniff her and felt his breath. Keila was surprised it didn't smell rotten of disgusting. It was just warm and moist. The dragon's snout started getting closer and closer. He touched her and pushed her a little and she let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. He didn't eat her. "Meet Clossos" exclaimed Mia loudly. Keila jumped a little. She totally forgot Mia was there. "I think he likes you, he doesn't usually get so close to people, apart from Kronos of course." That calmed Keila's racing heart a little. She slowly raised her hand and rubbed the dragon's snout. He let her, hell he even looked like he enjoyed it. She scratched his scales for a little longer when there was a loud bang from the other side of the square. "What the hell are you doing to my dragon!?" Kronos walked towards her angrily. "Hello brother" Mia smiled like Kronos didn't look ready to murder them. "I just wanted her to know who she's going to marry. This one actually seems to like her, unlike you."  Keila looked at Mirana quite offended. He didn't like her? Why? What did she do? "What? No, he doesn't. " What did he mean he doesn't? Clossos was nice, unlike him. Right after he said that Clossos nuzzled Keila. "Hello Clossos, nice to meet you, too" she smiled at the giant pet like creature. Kronos frowned "traitor" he mumbled and hit him on his huge head a little.  The dragon growled at that "Oh, shut up. You are meant to stick with me, you are my dragon." So he was Kronos' dragon. Did all the royals have their own dragons? There was only one gate here and she doubted more dragons would fit into Clossos' lair. Keila smiled and scratched Clossos some more. Kronos actually didn't seem to mind. He, however, was looking at Keila with a weird expression.  "Do you ride on him?" Keila was quite curious. She couldn't help but wonder. That would be so cool. She would like to ride on him one day. Or ride Kronos. Gods, where did these thoughts come from. She met him just today. She shook her head quickly.  Kronos nodded. "Of course. It would be stupid to travel on a horse when you have a dragon wouldn't it?" "Probably" "He spends more time on Clossos than in the palace," Mia mumbled annoyed. Keila chuckled, they were funny together. Kronos frowned again. He did that a lot. "I just often go to the military camp. I would be there all the time if I could. I would be there right now but apparently I have a wedding to attend." Did he seriously joked right now or did he mean it? She couldn't tell. "Did you just joke?" Mia looked really shocked. "You never joke, who are you?" Kronos scoffed.  "Of course I do. Just not in front of you." Would he joke with her after their wedding? "Are you going to take me to the military camp with you?" Keila really wanted to go. She wanted to learn how to fight. She had some training but it was limited with her being a princess and all. "Apparently, I have to. My father is really adamant with the whole heir situation. He won't let me be away from you unless you are pregnant." So he wanted to be away from her, that wasn't a good start of the marriage. Keila frowned, was she that bad? "You can't just say that to a woman brother. It's offending. She will be your wife, you can at least try to be polite. And...I think you two will have fun making that baby." She had a mischievous smile on and Keila didn't like that. Blushing, she quickly looked at her feet, finding them really interesting at the moment. "Fine, you might have a point sister. I can't leave you here so I'm just going to take you with me. You may find it boring there so maybe take something to read or whatever you women do all day."  Was this his way to be polite? Gods, this was going to be hard. She just nodded when a thought came up. "Are we going to fly there?"  "Yes" She smiled brightly, she was really going to ride on Clossos and in just a few days. "Wait if Clossos is your dragon..... Do all royals have dragons and where are the other dragons?"  Kronos and Mirana both stiffened. They looked quite uncomfortable. "That's none of your business." Said Kronos sternly and pushed Clossos back to his lair.  Mia shook her head and smiled slightly. "Come on, it's late. Let's go to bed. I'll take you to your room." She led her back to her chambers and Keila went to bed. She couldn't sleep at first thinking about her upcoming wedding and probably crappy marriage but she was just too tired. At last, sleep came over her.
