Awkward dinner

1021 Words
Keila looked at the people around the table. There were five men. Kronos was sitting next to her and on the right from the king, who was seated at the head of the table.  On his left were two middle-aged men. They resembled the king but she didn't know who they were. All three of them, the king and the two men, had dark hair and brown eyes and all of them had a frown on their face. Next to one of those men sat a young girl. She could have been fifteen maybe sixteen years old. Unlike anyone from the royal family, she had straight long blonde hair.  Her eyes were, however, almost identical to the man on her right. She could be his daughter, Keila thought. On Keila's right sat a young man his eyes were light brown and had a slight smirk on his face unlike all the men around him. He looked oddly happy.  Keila figured he was the younger prince, Hades. He wasn't that tall or muscular as his father or brother were, but with that smile on he looked rather hot. On Hades' right sat the young princess Mirana. She looked like a female version of her father.  Dark brown hair reaching under her breasts, dark brown eyes and tan skin. She was definitely pretty,  Keila was sure she had a lot of men asking for her hand but it didn't seem like she was married. After the long silence, the king finally spoke. "Good evening my future daughter-in-law, thank you that you graced us with your presence tonight." The king's words were sweet and polite but Keila could feel the venom and annoyance in his voice and she winced at that. "I would like to introduce my family. These are my dear brothers, Samuel and Lucian. The young sweetheart right there is Lucian's daughter, Ravena. And at last, prince Hades and princess Mirana. I'm sure you already met Kronos."  Keila just nodded blushing when she remembered their meeting.  There was silence when the servants brought their food. It looked delicious, but a little too raw for Keila's liking but she didn't say anything and started to eat when everyone else did. All that could be heard for a while was clicking of their dishes. "Father" Mirana called after a while "when will they be married?"  "That doesn't concern you Mirana, but if you really have to know, the wedding is the day after tomorrow."  "What!?" Keila shouted out loud, she just couldn't keep her mouth shut, could she? Realizing what she did she started panicking. "Sorry...I mean... that's so soon, I was hoping I could get used to the place a little and get to know my husband to be a bit."  The king didn't look happy at all and his eyes flared with anger. "You don't get a say in this you little scum, I'm sure you can do those things after the wedding. If you don't like it then leave, but don't be surprised by the outcome. I can burn your home to the ground in a matter of hours so if I were you I would keep my mouth shut."  Keila shook a little hearing that and hung her head low. The king calmed down and looked at Mirana. "As I was saying, they are to be married the day after tomorrow. And with all the royal traditions."  This time it was Kronos who started to protest "All of them? You can't want me to do the bedding."  "I expect you to do what I tell you to do, so when I tell you there will be the bedding you will do it." Kronos huffed and sat back in his chair.  Keila couldn't resist, she leaned towards Hades and asked. "Excuse me but what is the bedding?" Hades smirked at her and whispered in her ear "They will watch you during your wedding night so they are sure you fucked." His boldness shocked her and she panicked at the thought.  They seriously expected her to have s*x in front of someone else? She was a virgin and didn't even know her fiance and now someone else would watch them? This was seriously f****d up. Hades just winked at her and continued "I hope father will let me watch" that seriously scared her so she quickly turned in the other direction. There he was, Kronos, looking at them and frowning. These people were really crazy. "Sorry, my prince but what exactly do you expect from me on our wedding day?"  Kronos smirked hearing that. "You should put on a nice dress, smile the whole day and say your yes at the sanctum. And later that night bed me. It's nothing complicated really. I'm sure you'll manage." The king saw her pale face and joined their conversation despite Keila's visible embarrassment. "There are a few more details but yes, that's basically it. You are expected to do exactly two things. Smile in public and get pregnant. Do it and we will have a happy family."  Keila just nodded her head and kept quiet, she didn't want any other incidents. Mirana was curious and kept asking about the wedding but it was mostly about what dress she should wear or the guest list. Keila didn't care given she knew none of the people mentioned.  It was Kronos' question that got her attention. "Can I leave her at the palace after the wedding? I plan on spending some time at the military camp." He talked like she wasn't even there. "Don't think so, how do you want to knock her up if she stays here?" Of course, all they wanted her for was an heir. She rolled her eyes at that.  Kronos just signed and nodded. He would keep her in his tent. The king, Samuel, Lucian and Kronos kept talking about the military while the others silently ate.  Hades kept stealing glances at Keila from time to time but she tried to ignore him. He had the stupid smirk on his face and she wanted nothing more than to wipe it away.  Were all the men in this kingdom so disgusting? Women were more than toys to bed. After the dinner finally ended she made her way back to her rooms, but she didn't expect Mirana to follow her.
