I know my parents didn’t want me to leave with Grandma and Grandpa to the Emerald Kingdom, but it was clear that this was what I needed to do. Grandpa was never going to give up his schemes to get me, ever. And it was tearing our family apart! All my brothers and sisters were afraid that grandpa might even go as far as to kill dad, mom, or both. Or find some way to take us all away from them. Grandpa Alexander was ruthless in that regard, but he sometimes doesn’t think things through very well and doesn’t care at all about stampeding all over other people rights or feelings in order to get what he wants.
