I’m glad to go search out my mate as soon as the impromptu meeting with the king is over. I was eager to tell her about the meeting, and about her fathers reaction to everything I had told him.
I found Amelia sitting in a rocking chair, nursing Beatrice for her final feeding of the night. The pair looked so serene together, that it made my heart happy to see.
