I lay in bed, trying to not have a full-on mental breakdown as sleep overtook me. The feel of someone's hand on my back jerked me awake as I looked around in the now dark room.
"Bug, are you okay?" My dad asked softly, his hand rubbing my back as I broke down once more. Sitting up I crawled into my dad's lap, letting him hold me as I sobbed into his shirt.
"What happened bug?" He whispered into my ear and I couldn't tell him everything..I couldn't bring myself to talk about Asher. Maybe because I know my dad liked Asher and I didn't want to ruin that for him.
