The light is slowly reaching their worn-out body, as they rest in the ground waiting for what's coming next.
But Amelia is done resting on the ground. She realizes the darkness that surrounds the place was following Wolfvir as he chases Jowan.
With the old man sitting idly on the dirt close to what's left of his son's body.
He was pitied from being unworthy enough to die.
With Wolfvir gone, the place started to become much clearer, leaving both of them the outcome of Wolfvir's hunt.
‘Who was that? That mysterious being, He wasn't my father, but he came in my need, to my cry… That's right! He came when no one else did!’ Amelia thought.
As if she was trying to convince herself that she wasn't crazy not to feel any kind of disgust nor fear towards Wolfvir.
‘“You cried for help… and here I am.”’ Amelia remembering Wolfvir's words.
Wolfvir shifts and revolves his ember red-eye as she gazes at Amelia's eye.
Steady and thoroughly he stared.
‘It was that time when I felt protected. I feel safer at that moment that I was able to stand and look at your immensely powerful presence,’ Amelia thought.
As she glances at the place where Anafe was devoured, and to the living old man Thomas and the bloodied flesh nearby his son.
‘They were the monster, and he protected me from. He's not the monster. I will look for you Wolfvir, I need to know who you really are,’ Amelia thought as she decided to catch up on them instead of leaving.
Amelia removes her wool clothing revealing the sleeveless underneath tunic. Cutting her wool into two shorts bandage-like wool with her dagger.
She proceeded to carefully tend her wounds, as she wrapped the wool in and out of her pierced thigh.
She swiftly breaks the arrow shaft with the help of her dagger, before fastening it safe.
Amelia stands on her feet, looking to the darker side of the forest where Wolfvir and Jowan currently are. Moving her feet one by one slowly but determined to meet her defender.
“Move feet, quickly. I need to see him again, I need to know more about him, ” Amelia let out as she continued to traverse the land pursuing Wolfvir instead of leaving.
——
Amadeus stands on his human form, his kind form, opposite to his powerful curse.
Hiding inside his body all the monstrous parts of him.
'The thought of never again... never to see them again is killing me. In the months, I lived with them is worth more than all the days I had,' Amadeus thought as he stood in front of Amelia.
'There she is in front of me, Amelia, who's probably disgusted by now, from all I did as Wolfvir.'
The sun shone on her weary heart-triangle face. With her brown eyes looking directly at my soul, judging me. Her stained-dirt thin sleeveless tunic shows she had a very rough day.
As she slowly walks towards me, dangling her dark hair as it brushes to her honey-beige skin.
“It was you!!” Amelia shouted as soon as she realized it was Amadeus.
'Yes, that was me, everything Wolfvir did was my doing, he's not a different person, he is my uncontrollable desire for power,' Amadeus thought as she stared at Amelia.
“It was… I, ” Amadeus let out.
'I became Wolfvir because I wanted to be stronger.'
“That is what I am now, ” He said.
'She's going to hate me, her tanned eyes are sharply looking at me. I'm going to lose them both.'
“Come here!” Amelia yelled out.
'What! What is this feeling? Why do I continue to hope that everything is alright? Why do I lie to myself that she's probably okay with it? My feet move on their own towards her, she's not running away she's waiting for me…'
“Amadeus, is Elise at home?”
“She is.”
'I'm getting closer, and she's still there, she started to walk on her own towards me, enduring the wound in her thigh, as she kept on staring at me with her fierce eyes. I don't want to leave them.'
'Then tell her.'
“Amelia, I don't want to go…” Amadeus said as he avoided looking into her eyes.
He wandered his gaze from afar.
Only to feel a warm embrace to his very soul.
'The warmth, it's the similar feel of a home. It came from them, they are my home, I understand that now,' Amadeus thought as he returned his gaze to Amelia who was embracing his cold bare body.
'She's embracing me, me an abomination to this world, yet she holds me with her arms. This is what hope feels like. To hope that I'll be accepted for what I am and what I did.'
Amelia continued to embrace his body tightly as if she was longing for it.
'Is this her answer? I need to know her answer.'
'I don't hear anything, I don't see anything but her with arms wrapped on my body, she is beautiful. I can smell her body vividly, a sweet aura that fits her honey skin tone.'
'Her sharp eyes are gone, she is looking at me with tamed eyes. I peek on her slightly chapped parting lips as it moves closer, planting her lips to mine, tasting her sweet blend of kindness.'
'I can feel more of her warmth from her heart as it passes through our kiss. Feeding my body with delight, along with the lively beating of her heart. It was a fading deep kiss, leaving with great longing for more.'
'“Ex-knight!”' Elise's voice in his Amadeus's head.
'“Yeah?”'
'“You remind me of my father.”'
'F*CK! F*CK! F*CK!'
'“What is your father called?”'
'“Galiet Licand.”'
'GALIET F*CKING LICAND!!'
'Yeah, I remember now, my name is Galiet, it has always been Galiet. I need to stop whatever I'm feeling.' Amadeus thought with her longing and regretful eyes.
“Then don't go, Amadeus, Let's go back, ” Amelia said, smiling with her sweetest lips.
“Go back where?” he let out, as he remembered their missing father.
“To our home, Amadeus…”
Amadeus looked deeply into her eyes.
With Amelia thinking of him more than a companion now, asking him to return with her.
“What is your family called? Amadeus? I want to know more about you… Would you let me?” Amelia lets out as she holds his hands.
Feeling the bruises in her hands as he holds it back.
'Should I tell her? That, I had the same name as her father!? What would she think of me after that!? I'm lucky that she still accepts me for who I am.'
'She will always accept you,' a voice in Amadeus' head.
'How can you be so sure?'
“I guess you can't?” Amelia let out, as she looks away and fixing her dark hair.
“No! I am… I am called Amadeus Redard, ” Amadeus said.
“A Redard?”
'Another lie huh?' A voice in Amadeus's head.
“Yes, I'm originally Grearian, but was adopted by Grisian, ” Amadeus replied.
'The best way to lie as always is to mix the truth in it and believe it yourself,' a voice in his head said.
“Well then, handsomely Amadeus Redard of Grearia. A warrior of both kingdoms, ” She said as she giggles before she continues.
“An awesome Ex-knight. I am just a commoner on this part, but one of the beautiful ladies in Masse that still lives here, and of course, the other one is as much as beautiful, my sister Elise.” Amelia said as she smiled at him.
“I am a huntswoman Amelia Licand, ” she added.
Amadeus closed his eyes upon hearing Licand like it was a sting in his ear, a deafening word.
'Why did you have to add that.'
“Oh you didn't like my long introduction, ” Amelia said as she lowered her brow and tightened her lips.
“I didn't mean to interrupt you, just my head was tired, ” Amadeus said.
“I was just teasing you, ” she said as she smiled.
“Let's just go home now to Elise, she might be worried sick. And I wouldn't mind being carried by you again… if only you don't mind as well, ” Amelia said with a flush of embarrassment that rose to her cheeks.
“I would carry you, ” Amadeus said quietly.
Grabbing her side and her thighs, as she yelps in the process. Lifting her close to his chest.
“Let's go home, ” he said.
“Yes, Amadeus.”
