Sweet dreams, Amadeus

The dark corners of the house stench with the fume of oil as she stands holding a barely lit lamp. Her eyes wander below, gazing at the unconscious sisters. What have I done? Is there any justification for this? Or am I crazy? She pondered. She sharpened her grit, thinking there’s no going back from this. “It’s for the village! For my sister Handel!” Lady Munzen yelled. Munzen hurled the lit lamp at the wall, breaking the glass as the fire broke out, eating the oil scattered in the house. While she witnesses the flame engulfing the walls, she gets hold of from her pouch the Godsbane potion. She poured a bit of the content into the unconscious bodies of Amelia and Elise, hoping she was right and they were infected. “Just any moment now!” She let out with a hint of worry in her tone. The crackling of fires is reminding Munzen she doesn’t have a lot of time. She poured more up to half of its content of the Godsbane to the two sisters. “Why aren’t they reacting!” She said in a louder voice. She stands bewildered, with the heat building up, intensifying her situation further. “Do they need to die first? Should I kill them now! What if I’m wrong and it’s not working for them?” she asked herself. Munzen gazes at the sisters’ blissful faces. Oh, no! I’m about to kill two innocent girls! What’s wrong with me? I need to get them out of here, she thought. The house is matured and decaying; a mighty storm would topple it down or suffer extensive damage. The fire breaking out inside would suffer the same fate; piles of wood that hold the house weaken from the flame, gradually breaking down. Munzen rattled from the flame that is swiftly broadening to the house. “I didn’t think this through! God, what am I about to do?” She said. The sisters’ house is getting hotter with the fire crackling on the aged wood, destroying the foundation of the house and its years of memories filled with prominent emotion that structured their lives. The sad walls of the house darken from the hungry fire as it says its goodnight and goodbye to the two lovely sisters. They could hear a loud and long screeching from above the sky; it was mad. The voice was gravely furious. Elise woke up from Amadeus’ cry while black ash descended to her nose. “Ex-knight!” She coughs from the smoke. “It’s dark and hot here! Ex-knight!” Elise said in a terrified voice. “I’m dead! I’m dead, that voice, it must be him! I need to leave this place!” Munzen yelled. “Help us! Lady Munzen!” Elise pleaded. Ashamed from what she has done, Munzen couldn’t even afford to look at Elise as she runs away towards the door. “I’m so sorry!” she whispered in the blackened air. Munzen fled the house, while the home continues to burn with a large wood broken from the roof blocking the door’s path leaving the two sisters imprisoned inside. “Sister, wake up! Ex-knight please!” Elise said. Elise struggles to stay conscious of the mercilessness of the fire and its partner, the black smoke. Scared to death, Lady Munzen frantically sprints away from the house. Another loud screeching cry can be heard above, too afraid to look as she gazes at her sight below the ground while running. “HEY!” Munzen loudly shrieked when she felt grabbed from her shoulder. “Auntie!” Bran said. Bran confronted her; after Munzen realised Bran, a hint of relief came to her only to discern how much Bran felt for Amelia. “Auntie! It’s happening! We are doing it, we can kill him where were you? I need the Godsbane potion!” Bran hastily said. “Bran! Oh no Bran, it’s not my fault, you have to understand, it was what God wishes! That’s right, God let it happen!” Lady Munzen said. “What do you mean Lady Munzen?” Bran asked. Above them was the gargoyle Amadeus piercing the sky, followed by The Longrider warriors on their horseback. “Bran, he’s escaping. Hop on, let’s end this, you and me!” Hoch yelled. “Auntie Munzen! I need you to focus. Everything will soon be over! We just need Godsbane. I need it!” Bran said. After she collects her mind, she presents the Godsbane potion to Bran. “Here! I need to go home, Bran. I’m sorry,” she said. “Thank you for everything, for trusting me, while no one else did. Thank you, Auntie! Get home safe!” Bran said. “Let’s go, Bran, mount up. Here take the reins, ride the horse, I’ll spear him down,” Hoch said. Above the sky, the gargoyle Amadeus is constantly convulsing in the air from the Godsbane eating his body. With the burning house in his sight, Amadeus embraces the pain as he forces all his strength to his wings, diving towards the house. ‘Sister, can you tell him I wasn’t scared, please tell Amadeus I was brave! It was what I promised.’ “I’m soon there ELISE!!” Amadeus said. The Godsbane is interfering with Amadeus’ body as it transforms him back into a human, merely leaving him with one wing to speed up his fall, twisting as he plummets towards the house engulfed with flame. “Are you scared, Ex-knight? Is there something that scares you?” Elise asked in a soothing voice. “Hmm, I guess I was. I’m scared if one day you’ll hate me, you and Amelia,” Amadeus said. “Don’t leave us, and I promise I won’t,” Elise said. “That’s a wonderful deal, Elise,” Amadeus said. “Let’s eat together!” I won’t ever leave you again; I’m coming, Elise! I promise I won’t leave you and Amelia’s side. Not for anyone, Amadeus thought. The smoke gets more prominent and darker, blocking Amadeus’ view as he spins down with one remaining wing to guide his fall. “I got you now, you ugly beast!” Hoch yelled. From a distance, Hoch, a skilled Grisian warrior, merely having one eye and one hand, tossing the spear into the air, travelling the cold grey air, heavy and sharp, ready to hit its mark. The spear pierced Amadeus’ back, plunging him to the ground near the burning house. Amadeus howled from the pain; they coated the spear with the Godsbane. Again his body abnormalises; his veins turn violet, pumping along with the uncontrollable fast beating of his tainted heart. ‘Don’t give them hope, Amadeus! Your immense power, they want it that bad, show it to them!’ a voice in his head. “WOLFVIR!” Dying is for the weak. We are immortal. Amadeus’ legs break as it lengthens, straining his bones to the fullest, tearing most of his armour. The human skin is weak, let’s peel it off, his skin shredding, adapting into a grey fur. Amadeus’ body is enlarging. He growls in the darkening surrounding releasing from his body. “You are not going anywhere, you monster!” Hoch said. Hoch and Bran caught up to him with another spear that he hurled, piercing Amadeus’ neck. The werewolf Amadeus squeals as he plummets back to the ground; with the burning house in front of him, he crawls. “ELISE!! AMELIA!!” Amadeus yelled in a beastly voice. ‘Are you scared, Ex-knight?’ “Are you scared yet?” Hoch said. Standing near the werewolf, Amadeus, as he crawls to the burning house, is Hoch Longrider. “Who did this?” Bran asked. Bran had a disbelieving gaze as soon as he saw the house of the two sisters burning. ‘Bran, it’s not my fault, you have to understand, it was what God wishes!’ “NO! Why? Why would she hurt the one I love! All of this is for her!” Bran yelled. “Bran gets yourself together, where’s the Godsbane? We are ending right now!” Hoch said. The rest of the Longrider caught up to them, except for Axar. “He wasn’t escaping, Amadeus was trying to get home to save them, those children!. Damn this needless death!” Fahrer said. The house is crumbling from the intense flame as it devours everything it touches. Amadeus truly cared for the only people in the home that bestowed him with genuine warmth, the house that he wishes to stay forever. Amadeus gritted his teeth, launching his beastly arms to the snowy land as he continued to crawl towards the house. Bran’s eyes are staled, his legs are shivering, although not from the cold. ‘Move, legs, run to them. Save them, you coward!’ Bran thought. Hoch seized the Godsbane from Bran. “Go home, Bran. You are tired. I’ll end this you did good, kid, now go!” he said. Fahrer walks closer to pull Bran away. “Come on Bran, let’s get you home,” he said “Go, I got this, brother,” Hoch said. “This should be the last, Hoch! I don’t want more people dying in our village!” Fahrer said. “I’m done after I kill this monster, the root of all evil,” Hoch said. Hoch kicked the already struggling Amadeus to the face, glueing his head to the cold ground. Amadeus, with a partial view of his dream, slowly collapsing from him, the blaze that reflects on his azure eyes, as his powerless body, buried-inch in the snow. “Sweet dreams, monster!”
