Amadeus desires to be powerful, Wolfvir.
A monstrosity creature, standing with his everlasting gray fur, as he towers everyone with his immense greatness.
His beastly eyes observe over us.
“You cried for help. Here I am, ” Amadeus and the voice in his head said.
“Amadeus, ” Amelia uttered.
The enormous wolf, Wolfvir howled above the wind, gushing out from his mouth was the darkness within that is engulfing the surrounding to his liking.
“Hey! Ex-knight!” a voice of a young girl.
'I woke up, and there she was, Elise's warm hand clasping mine,' He thought, waking up from Elise's voice.
Amadeus moves his hand to stroke Elise's small forehead.
“I'm awake, ” he said.
“I thought… you would never return to us again, ” Elise said with her worried face.
He stared at her misty-eyed, as he remained quiet.
'I thought so too, Elise,' Amadeus thought.
“So, you are an Ex-knight? Never thought one could become something like that, ” a voice of a woman said.
By the door, a middle-aged woman is standing, overlooking the rested bare body of Amadeus.
A brown braided hair woman along with her sienna shade skin. She wipes the blood from her hands with her brown apron.
She proceeded to remove her apron showing a ruby belted tunic beneath, which is common for a barkeep.
“Well, my name is Munzen. I own the Bucklers and Swords tavern in the town. But tell me Amadeus, who are you?” She said as she rolled her apron.
'Blood?'
“Elise! Where is your sister?” Amadeus immediately let out?
“She's close by, ” Elise replied.
“You will get your chance to see and talk to her later, but first we must talk!” Munzen said.
Amadeus gets up from the bed and proceeds to walk through the door of his room, ignoring Munzen completely.
“No!” Munzen quickly said as she blocked her body in the doorway.
“You won't get to leave until you answer some questions, ” she added as she slightly smirks.
“Move!” Amadeus loudly said along with his vermillion red eyes silently reflecting from his blue pupil.
“Ex-knight, ” Elise said quietly.
Munzen stands shocked from his vexed voice. Her somewhat frozen body and with her weakened knees.
“Ah… yo—ur… e—ye…” she stuttered, letting out an appalled voice.
She slowly moves her twitching legs away, giving way to Amadeus.
“Amelia? Are you here?” Amadeus said with a loud voice.
Checking their room. Their dining room. She wasn't there. Amadeus seeing the door wide open he decided to look over outside.
Stepping out outside with a brand-new dawn. A new day shining on to their rested body, beneath that light was Amelia walking towards him next to her was a young man name, Bran.
Seeing Amelia and her thigh that was dressed carefully, Amadeus calmed down.
“Good morning, Amadeus, ” She said, giving him a warmer than the sun smile.
“You are… okay, ” he uttered.
“I am. It's all thanks to you, ” She said.
“How are you feeling?” she asked.
“I'm good… what happened last night?” Amadeus asked.
At her side was the young-face Bran, walking closer at him.
“So, I guess you two have already met?” Amelia said.
“I don't think he remembers me, Amelia, ” Bran said.
With a baffled look Amadeus asked.
“What? And what happened last night?”
Amelia moves closer to Amadeus as she explained.
“After you saved me from those bandits, and we got home. You are suddenly in great pain, it was coming from your head.
You were gripping it and you were yelling a lot.” Amelia explained.
“And?”
“You fell to your knees, and your eyes were crying, Amadeus. You have said that 'I saw everything, I don't want any of it, I don't want to remember.' Before you fell unconscious on the floorboard, ” Amelia continued to explain.
'Why, what did I see.'
Amadeus retreats inside their home as he sits in one of the chairs, trying to recall what he saw.
Amelia and Bran followed inside.
“But it looks like you are good now? Do you remember what you saw?” Amelia asked.
“I don't have a clue, ” he replied, seeing the dressed wound of her thigh.
“Who helped us? Who patched your thigh?” he asked.
Munze slowly gets her confidence back, walks gently into the dining room where Amadeus, Amelia, and Bran are.
At her back was Elise quietly listening.
“How are you feeling? Does it still hurt or did the potion work?” Munze asked as soon as she met Amelia's gaze.
“It works really well, I can walk without limping. Thank you!” Amelia said slightly bowing.
“Don't work on it too much, okay?” she added.
“Yes, I'll rest for now. I'll deliver the hjortronsylt tomorrow, ” Amelia said.
Shifting back to Amadeus, Amelia introduced Munzen.
“It was because of her I can walk normally. Lady Munzen fixed my thigh up, thanks to her, and her nephew Bran, ” Amelia said to Amadeus.
“Listen, Amelia, come visit me in the tavern as soon as you can. There's some medicine coming from Eastland that could help you further, ” Munzen said before she continued to walk in the door.
“Are you leaving? Aren't you going to talk to Amadeus?” Amelia said.
Munzen glimpses her eyes at Amadeus.
“I remembered something I needed to do first. It's something important. I need to go now, I'll leave you in peace, ” Munzen said.
Amadeus stands up as he walks closer to face Munzen who is still a bit startled.
“Thank you for your kindness, ” he said.
“It's nothing, I must go now.” She said as she pulled Bran to leave with her.
Elise walks in as soon as they leave.
“Ex-knight, are you still sick?” she asked.
“I'm not sick anymore, thanks for guarding me, Elise. I felt safer, ” he said.
“The jam will be ready soon, and we will be able to deliver it to the village tomorrow, ” Amelia said.
“Can I come?” Elise asked.
“Of course, we will all go together, ” Amelia said, smiling.
'I won't leave your side anymore.'
——
Munzen and Bran were walking away from the sister's house when Munzen decided to share with him what she saw.
“Bran, listen!”
“Yes?”
“There is something wrong with that Amadeus guy, ” she let out.
“Why? What happened there?” he asked.
“I can't explain, I don't know for sure what happened, ” she said as they stopped walking.
“But I felt something Bran, something dangerous. His eyes were evil, I saw a devilish eye from him, ” she explained.
“Was it red?” he asked.
“I don't know, maybe. Is that important? Look at my hands, you see it trembling?” she said.
“Calm down aunt Munzen, ” he said.
“I can't calm down! If there is a devil in our lands, near our place!” she loudly said.
An old and frail woman overheard them as she walked closer to both of them.
“Great, Tingsfia is coming, ” Bran uttered.
A blank emotion of an old woman was in their front.
“You will die! You will die too!” The old crazed Tingsfia said.
“Yes, yes. We know, every one of us will anyway, ” Bran said.
“Leave us alone Tingsfia go be a bother somewhere else, ” Munzen said.
The crazy old woman walks away.
“You need to keep it low, someone else might overhear us again, ” Bran said.
“And that's bad because?” Munzen asked.
“I get you are freaking out, I did too. But we don't want to go and start rumors to anyone, ” Bran said.
“I'm telling you! That someone isn't human!” she let out.
“I know, I know.”
“What did you find out? You found something, didn't you? When you followed him in the forest?” Munzen asked.
“You really want to know?” Bran said.
“Look at my face and ask me that again, ” she replied.
“I understand, alright! Let's go back in the house, and I'll tell you all I know.”
——
At the Stockholm Manor, Munzen had managed to call out everyone.
Geld, and his wife Handel waiting for their announcement, along with the Longrider family Fahrer, Bogen, and Rosett.
“Is this can't wait? Lady Jewel just died!” Fahrer let out.
“I'm sorry, but we don't have much time. There is something far more dangerous that is in here other than the mercenary, ” Munzen explained as she sits in the middle.
“It's true, I don't have the best way to prove it yet. But I will bet everything I believe and own to make all of you see, ” Bran said as he sits close to Munzen.
“What is it now, Bran? First, you missed all your gatherings, you disobeyed me, you sulked for a month, and now what?” Geld said.
“Give him a chance, ” Handel uttered.
Bran slightly bowed to his mother as a thank-you.
“There is a man. A stranger in our midst. He has taken the body of a human. This man has a disease, a sickness that has been living since the land was first created, ” Bran said.
“Get to the point young man!” Rosett said.
“He is called Amadeus. He is currently living outside the village at the top of the hill. A house that is owned by the huntsman, ” Bran said as he glanced a look at Munzen, gently nodding at him to continue.
“I came to believe that he has a disease within his body. An ancient curse, a powerful beast living in his blood. The blood of the Hybrid. The Devil! The God of Evil, destruction, and cruelty. The impurities of all decisions. The damndest damnation of all. And I will prove it to everyone in a month but I need all of your cooperation!”
Fahrer, Rosett, and Geld were silently listening before they all burst into laughter.
“You damn wasted my time! And it's the day of our sorrow! The wise lady of Masse, Lady Jewel died today and you are blurting out this nonsense!”
Fahrer, Rosett, and Bogen stand from their seats as they prepare to leave.
“What a waste of time.”
“I know this was nonsense.”
“Listen to him! It's the truth! I saw it in my own eyes—” Munzen said before she was interrupted by Geld.
“Enough! I'm sorry that once again my son wasted your time. Me and my family will soon come to visit lady Jewel, ” Geld said as he stood.
“We will find a way, Bran. I saw it and I believe everything you said, ” Munzen said as she assured Bran.
“We continue with our plan with or without their help, ” Bran uttered.
'I will expose you. I will show it to everyone.'
'Your secrets can't hide forever, Amadeus.'
