Chapter 2

Sarah Smith:-

I had been Eric's best friend for a very long time and the only woman in his life after his mother's death. He had a tragic past, and because of that, he is affected by it mentally. He feels disgusted whenever any woman comes near him and always push them away like they are poison. I have got deep feelings for Eric, and I am totally and madly in love with him that I will go on any level to be the only woman in his life, although he only considers me as his best friend and made it clear several years ago. But things can always change. Can't they? I thought in my mind.

So, when today, Chloe accidentally or maybe purposely falls on top of Eric and kissed him, I felt jealous or threatened by her, so I walk towards her with a fake smile and tries to comfort her only to find the agency she works for. When she tells me about Watson agency, I lied to her that I will take care of every matter. I will but only to clear Eric's image as I am one hundred and one percent sure the paparazzi will make it difficult for him and I don't want Eric's personality to ruin only because of this wannabe star.

So, when Chloe was gone, I took care of the paparazzi's matter first and headed back to my car; the first thing I did was call Marcus Watson, the owner of Watson Agency.

"Hello, Marcus, it's me, Sarah Smith from Smith Agency. I am sure you know me," I said on the call while playing with my hair strands.

"Oh, Miss Smith, who doesn't know you. You are the owner of one of the top agencies in Hollywood." he replied, "how are you doing and tell me what I can do for you?" he asks.

"Well, Marcus, you know Chloe Huston? She's from your agency." I said in a professional tone.

"Yeah! What about her?" he asks in a pure business tone.

"I want you to ban her secretly, so she don't get to find any opportunity," I replied.

"What? I can't do that. It's against the rule she hasn't done anything wrong." he said instantly.

"If you don't do what I am saying, then I may not cooperate with your agency in the future." I replied, "and by the way, why can't you do that? Is there any reason?" I ask curiously.

"Because she has got debts to pay, and if I ban her completely, she won't be able to pay off the debts." he replied over the phone "what has she done to make you do this to her? He asks.

"Well, let's just say she did something she shouldn't have." I replied, "and let her participate in the Kuso variety show only."

"But that's an embarrassment show, and she deserves better than that show as she has got talent."

"Maybe that's what I want to torture her through that show and feel embarrassed and send me her portfolio," I replied and cut off the call without listening to what he was about to say. After a few seconds, he mailed me Chloe's portfolio and looked at her picture, where she was smiling for the camera.

"Chloe Huston, you shouldn't have kissed my man even if it was an accident, but still, I will make you pay for it. Just wait and watch." I murmured while staring at her picture.

Chloe Huston:-

The next morning I woke up early in the morning, scared with the thought that I will see articles of Eric and me in the newspaper, but to my surprise, there were none. Everything was normal, like nothing happened. God knows I don't want any problems in my life than I already have. Because one single issue can ruin my career, which I am still struggling for. In my heart, secretly, I thanked that woman who comforted me and took care of the matter.

She has been in this field since she was mortgaged to an agency as a child star by her mother in order to pay her debts. When she was nine years old, she gave a brief appearance as the hero's daughter in the magical film, namely, Haze. Her appearances may have been brief ones, but her roles were important and pleasing, which made her famous for a while.

 And when she reached the age of 10, her mother made her sign with Watson agency for the ten years contract terms. This agency mainly manages female models for shooting magazines and deals with many peoples in politics and business. They promised to make Chloe a big star, but due to the company's lack of resources, she remained a little known star, and until now, at the age of twenty, she is still struggling to become a well-known star in Hollywood.

She was still lost in deep thoughts when her phone rang; it was from Watson agency for whom she works for and working hard to pay off her debts. She instantly picked it up, ready to listen to the lecture.

"Hello, Chloe Huston speaking," I said, picking up the call.

"I know you are speaking, no need to tell it." Mr. Watson snapped in anger," I want you to come and meet me in my office in half-hour. There are something you need to know with that said he ended the call. I take a deep breath trying to calm myself down then headed to the bathroom where I took a quick shower and slipped into a nude color bodycon dress with a black belt in its waist and did a light makeup as fast as I can in order to make myself representable and headed to Watson agency in the cab, praying for everything to be okay. By the way, Mr. Watson was angry. I am sure he is pissed off by my last night accident.

After fifteen minutes of the ride, I reached the agency building and was greeted by the receptionist, who happens to be an old lady with a graceful and kind personality. After meeting with her, I went to Mr. Watson's office and knocked on the door.

"Come in." a deep voice came from inside, and I entered.

"Good morning, Mr. Watson, you called me," I said, standing in front of his desk.

"Yes, because of you last night stunt or an accident in your words, no one is ready to invest in you except for the Kuso variety show. So, you have to participate in it whether you like it or not if you want to pay off your debts and stay in this industry." he replied throwing away the pictures of Eric and me from last night where we were kissing "you do know that you offended Mr. Sterling with that kiss. Do you have any idea who he is and what he can do? You should be grateful that you are still getting a chance to participate in the Kuso variety show." I felt upset and heartbroken after listening that I have to participate in this embarrassing show as I have got no other choice, and I am sure it's all doing of Eric for offending him in public.

"When is this show?" I ask with tears in my eyes.

"Tomorrow, and I expect you to be ready for it," he said and dismissed me from his office.
