I never in my wildest dreams as a young man could have imagined the immense happiness I feel when I see my family. My life beside Elizabeth has brought me so much joy, and she, in her own right, is something to behold. The Moon Goddess really did reward me by making me her destined mate, and I can never for the life of me, figure out why. I’m just a simple man, overwhelmingly in love with a daughter of the moon.
Waking up to see her in the early hours of the day, surrounded by white Egyptian cotton sheets was sometimes the only moment of peace I would get in a day; no one was mind-linking me yet, the pups were still asleep and Elizabeth was still dreaming. Her features had changed ever so slightly over the years, from the young woman I first met 8 years ago. Her lips and nose were more defined, and her skin grew ever-more radiant. It still sparkled in the light, and whether she realised it, people were still taken aback by her beauty. She was kind, loving and nurturing.
As she lay on my chest with her hand cast out over my bare chest, I took in her familiar scent. I felt my heart rate pick up ever so slightly as it awakened every drowsy cell in my body. I needed it, craved it to survive. But, my thoughts soon turned to Ash. My poor brother. He must feel so alone, not having someone to love like this anymore, his precious mate. My heart wept for him on so many occasions.
“Are you alright, my love?” Her sweet murmur and hot breath soothed my skin in a warm mist as her groggy voice began to awaken from slumber. Her fingers stroked across my body as she stretched out her sleepy limbs. I pressed a long kiss upon the top of her silver-blonde hair.
“Yes, I was simply thinking of Ash.” Her face tilted to look at me. Those bright crystal-blue eyes searching to meet mine.
“He will be ok. I promise.”
“I believe you, but I cannot help but feel for him. He doesn’t have what we have anymore. And you know how stubborn he is; he will fight this new mate as long as he can.” She smiled.
“Trust me, his new mate won’t be so dismissible once he meets her. She is certainly something special.” As she began to shift her weight against me, I felt her soft skin between her legs press against my thigh as she curled her leg around me. My fingers wandered over her skin, relishing the familiar sparks.
“No one can be as special as you.” Her plump lips kissed my chest in thanks, but it was stirring something inside me.
“I believe she is special in her own right.”
“How can you know these things? I can feel that your hiding something for me, yet it pleases you to keep me in the dark.” She moved suddenly to straddle my lap, her unrestricted body finally displayed before me in all its glory. She pressed herself down upon my crotch, firmly grinding against my morning glory, and I couldn’t fight the growl that Rex let escape my lips.
“I am not keeping you in the dark, simply blinding you from what is to come.” She lowered her hand behind her back and took me in her grasp, slowly sitting upon my shaft, and sliding me inside of her. Her warm walls gripped me as she sat on my hilt, breathing heavily.
“f**k, baby.” She moved slowly, enjoying the control she was having on me as her fingernails dragged down my body.
My hands found her thighs as she ground harder, moans of pleasure sweeping through her parted mouth. Feeling her wet folds wrapped around me was torture, and I was already building to release. Her hips rocked as her hands explored her own body. It teased me to touch her, but every time I tried to reach out and caress her skin, she batted my hands away. She pinned me down, her hands pressing against my chest as her groaning grew louder. Her display of dominance was bringing me closer and closer to euphoria, but she quickly began to tremble around me, her eyes closing as she enjoyed her climax to its fullest. I was in awe of her; she was glowing. As her shaking subsided and she regained some composure, she leaned down and kissed me deeply, biting at my bottom lip as she pulled away. “You need to get up for training.” Her voice was low, and satisfied.
“We're not finished?” She giggled, before pulling herself off me and heading towards the bathroom.
“I am.”
“You’re late!” Ash was stood in a tight-fitting black vest and basketball shorts as I finally approached the training field. Nora was standing close behind him, as her mate Raven drifted around the sidelines watching our hoard of enforcers were deep in training.
With Raven being a talented water witch, she wasn’t able to offer much help in the way of training, but she definitely gave our pack an edge that not many other enforcers had, and she knew what other threats our pack might encounter. She had fitted in well quickly after moving to live with us following our battle with Elijah, and it had pushed Nora’s wolf to increase her strength. She had both me and Ash on the run a few times.
“I know, sorry. You can blame your Luna for that!” I couldn’t hide the irritation my blue balls were giving me right now, and Ash only laughed when I came to stand beside him.
“She did it again, did she?”
“I’m not having this conversation with you.” He just laughed louder, “and besides, if I didn’t have an obligation to be here, she wouldn’t have gotten away with her promiscuous games.”
“Ah, but she knew. That woman has you wrapped around her little pinky.” My side glare at Ash soon stopped his laughter and turned our conversations to more important topics.
“How are our enforcers doing? Their performance looks good.”
“Well, the new recruits are certainly quick, but they are arrogant. They seem to think that because of their age that they are better than our more experienced fighters who have years of knowledge. But, it won’t take them long to learn.” Nora stood proud, with her recently pixie-cut showing off her silver mating mark on the back of her neck, and compared to our circular bite marks, was quite beautiful. Raven’s mating mark, or ‘witches kiss’ was comparable to a snowflake; ‘frozen water’ she says. But she said like a snowflake, each mark was individual; no one has the same.
“Ash, would you care to demonstrate your finesse?” His cocky smile creased into his right cheek as he marched forward, calling for the attention of the newbie’s.
“Right, listen close everyone…” The bright-eyed newcomers focused on their Beta as he strode into the centre of our fighting ring, and they gathered around in an attentive hoard. Their eagerness to learn was obvious in their faces, but one guy stood with his arms crossed over his chest, resting on his hip like he already knew everything. “You are all making great strides forward in your techniques, but I am yet to see anyone really excel and understand the power they can process once we harmonize with our wolves. So, I want to show you how we can ‘share’ our bodies with our inner beasts; not in control, and yet not overcome.” His eyes met mine, and I immediately pointed out the smug s**t on the outlines. Ash smiled and scanned the crowd dramatically. “I will need a volunteer!” You could see the odd hand shoot up in excitement at the possibility to train with one of our best, but as his gaze fell on the lad I had spotted, they fell silent. “You boy. What is your name?” The shock on that young man’s face had me stifling my laugh, as well as Nora’s, who stood beside me sniggering. His stance straightened, oozing pride, and I had to admit, I was curious of the fella. His floppy blonde hair curled around his face, and his slim yet athletic physic told me there was more to his abilities than first meets the eye.
‘Bieber…’ Nora’s humorous voice appeared in my head. I laughed.
“The name is Troy.”
‘Oh, god. That’s worse!’ We both chuckled again, earning a few side-glances from the trainee's as we stood watching.
Ash directed him to the other side of the ring, and continued to speak to the bystanders.
“When faced with a foe we feel is underwhelming of potential prowess, we cannot expect that to be so. An appearance of an enemy in human form, may be nothing like the man inside. We must learn to expect the unseen, and prepare for any possible tricks they have up their sleeve.” He turns to Troy, who stands patiently, waiting for direction. As Ash raises his hands, he gestures him to approach while taking a grounded stance. Troy’s speed was as Nora described, quick, but Ash was a brute force, and as their bodies clashed, his weight shifted to his back foot, and round-housed Troy’s torso, sending him flying into the wall of teens. His face was angry as he collected himself, but I knew any rage he was feeling would be no match for Ash. He charged again, and Ash dodged to the left, leaving his arm outstretched as the boys’ throat collided with it, knocking him for six. The giggles had started to build from the girls watching him fail, and clearly, his self-esteem was beginning to chip away. Their lustful eyes were all over Ash as the fight continued.
‘Shame isn’t it.’ Nora mind linked, earning her a glance.
‘What is?’
‘All these women want him. So many opportunities to be happy. But it just goes to show, no one can replace a mate.’ I could only nod.
‘Indeed. He deserves to be loved.’ It wasn’t public knowledge yet that Ash could have possibly found a second chance mate. It was his news to tell if he wished to. I was feeling a little more positive as i watched my brother continue to tussle in the ring. If he wasn't going to find happiness with just anyone, maybe Elizabeth was right; maybe this new woman was something special.
