Chapter Nine – Paying For It When Alan came through the front door, Keri came out of the kitchen. In the dining room doorway, she slipped off her apron and preened her hair, put on a smile and struck a pose. Extending one leg to show the way her split skirt exposed her thigh, she put her hands behind her neck and arched her back like a cheesecake model to thrust out her breasts, hoping they wouldn’t spill out. “Ta Da!” Alan stood grinning at her. He was still astounded by the sudden changes that had come over his wife. She was both more alive and more emotionally fragile than before. He didn’t know yet if it signaled a breakthrough or a breakdown. He only knew that this woman who greeted him wearing a sexy dress and a smile was not the same one he had known two days ago. Under the smi
