Chapter Five – Mindfuck
“Stand up.”
Keri tried to rise, but her legs were weak and shaking. The lack of circulation had caused her feet to go to sleep, and she stared down in wonder at the red furrows in the skin of her thighs where the ropes had been. Recognizing her helplessness, Sophie leaned down to lift her to her feet, handling her like a child.
She is so strong! Thought Keri as she stood swaying, passive while the bracelets were reconnected behind her. Sophie gathered a handful of Keri’s hair and drew her head back to expose her throat. Keri watched her from the corners of her eyes, warily, still unsure of this woman’s real motives or intentions.
