“Carter, help me!” Lexi yells over the mind-link. I try to respond, but am met with nothing. I jumped up and ran out of my office and down the stairs. I tried to reach Aria but I couldn’t. When I reached the third-floor landing, I picked up her scent. I pick up another scent and I growl. I can also smell chloroform. “Where are you?” I ask over the mind-link and get no response.
I know that fucker has her, but where? I took out my phone and dialed Charles. He answers on the first ring. “Ryan has Lexi.
