Ace leans closer to the screen as he bobs the pen in his hand. He is watching Rhett and Carl play.
He notes down the strategy and technical play of Rhett. Takes a pause, mutes the speaker.
"Make a new room and add both of them when the game is done."
Samuel turned his face, looked at Ace who is seriously watching the screen.
"Are you going to play with them?" Samuel questioned.
"Hmm, need to know their strong points. They are playing good with each other but can't take the risk and make a decision based on this play."
Samuel nodded his head in understanding. "Okay, I will make the room in another laptop and add them."
"But what do you think of Rhett choice of character?" Samuel asked.
"He needs to get habituated with other characters. Sven will be the right character for him."
"Sven? How he is going to get habituated when he never used the character, Sven?" Samuel asked.
"That's the reason he has to get habituated with it. Everyone knew that he is a pro at Tiny, that would be a risk to him and us," Ace explained writing down in his notebook.
Rhett looked at the screen as a message popped on screen. His brows frowned in confusion as his nervousness increased a bit.
He knew that the other person sitting beside Samuel is Ace the king of rage. Rhett rolled his lower into his mouth as he concentrated on the game.
Brooks narrowed his eyes hitting the button continuously. A smirk broke on his face when he killed Carl.
Carl closed his eyes pushing the mouse away. "s**t!" He cursed looking at the screen.
Her gaze went to the message box where messages from Samuel popped up.
"Take a picture of the screen," Ace said pointing his pen at the screen.
"Okay."
Samuel pulled his phone out, clicked a picture of the screen.
Rhett joined the new room that Samuel made using the password that Samuel has shared. He saw Samuel and Carl waiting in the room.
Soon Brooks added and the room got locked by Samuel.
Ace stood up and shifted his seats with Samuel. Ace got hold of the mouse, turned on the speaker.
"Brooks Harris selects a character," Ace said.
Carls eyes slightly widen as he heard the voice of his hero. Carls is a die-hard fan of Ace. He never forgot Ace or his play even when Ace announced his retirement.
"Okay." Brooks selected the earthshaker character.
Ace turned his head and looked at Samuel. He shook his head negatively.
"Carls Martin select your character," Ace said.
"Ok...okay si... Sir..." Carls's voice broke in nervousness and fear.
Samuel chuckled, "don't be nervous," Ace replied and Carls nodded his head looking at the screen knowing Ace could see him.
Ace's camera is off as he doesn't want them to see him.
Carls selected the character, Pudge. Ace nodded his head.
"Rhett select your character."
"Okay."
Rhett thought about the character carefully and selected Lina. Samuel hummed and Ace nodded his head too.
Ace selected the character beastmaster, Brooks's eyes twitched but he didn't say anything.
Rhett was a bit nervous and now he is scared that he would mess the game in fear.
He needs to get into the team no matter what. This is his last chance left if he wants to make a career in eSports.
"Brooks play the middle, Carls play in the back and Rhett play in the front with me," Ace said as the game is going to start in ten seconds.
"Okay."
"Okay, sir."
"Okay."
Ace looked at the screen as everyone took their positions. Rhett's character stood beside Ace's character as the game started.
The game went on for an hour before Ace broke the enemy base.
Ace left the mouse and keyboard, leaned back in his seat. He muted his mic, turned his head and looked at Samuel.
"What do you think?" Samuel asked anxiously.
"They are good, they have the potential. Look after Brooks, he has a bit of attitude and that is not needed in the team."
"I will take care of that," Samuel replied.
"And Rhett take care of him too. He is a nervous but nice play."
"What about Carls?" Samuel asked.
"Nice play, good at strategies and techniques. Proper training and he would be great," Ace said.
"Are you going to play with Greyson and Grant?"
"Yes, I can't take a long interview. I will play with them and decide their gameplay. They are the strongest," Ace said.
Greyson stopped tapping his finger as he got the message to join the room.
He immediately joined the room to see Samuel and another person Grant.
Grant looked at the screen and waited for someone to speak.
"Keeping it short, let's get into the game. Grant choose a character," Ace spoke.
Greyson immediately recognised the voice. He waited for the other player Grant to choose the character.
"Greyson chooses a character," Ace said. Grant has chosen the character, Sven.
Ace waited patiently as he watched Greyson.
Greyson selected the character beastmaster. Samuel let out a slight chuckle. "Haha..."
"He has proper knowledge on what character he has to select," Samuel added.
"He has to have the proper knowledge on how to use the character," Ace replied.
Ace choose the character, Lina. Grant looked at the screen as the game is going to start in twenty seconds.
"Write down every point," Ace said looking at Samuel.
"Noted."
Ace unmuted the mic, "take your positions."
Grant nodded his head and went over to the front standing with Ace. Ace gaze went to Greyson's character.
Greyson blankly went to the back, he took the back position. Ace smirked and went to the middle position leaving the front to Grant.
The game started, Ace knew that Greyson and Grant are going to be the team captains.
That's the reason he wanted to have a personal match with them. He muted the mic.
"Woah man, Greyson knew how to use his character and powers," Samuel said.
"Grant is good at his gameplay," Samuel added.
"They know the tactics and strategies. The gameplay is good, Greyson will be the captain and Grant will be the second captain," Ace said leaving the mouse and keyboard.
Ace and Samuel watched the screen as Greyson broke the base and finished the game.
Ace unmuted his mic to talk with Grant and Greyson.
Greyson turned around immediately when the door opened. "Grey, get your ass down. We all are waiting for you."
"Opps," Grant said.
Before Ace, Samuel or Grant could see the person Greyson pushed her away.
Greyson glared his eyes looking at his sister. "What? How long should we wait?"
Greyson muted his mic, "I will be there in thirty minutes. So eat your food," Greyson said.
"Fine, do whatever you want to do."
Samuel chuckled, "siblings are fun," Samuel commented.
"Not all the time," Grant replied.
"Our mic is on?" Samuel asked Ace.
"Yes."
Samuel cleared his throat, "hmm."
Greyson turned in his chair, faced the camera. Turned on the mic, "I apologise for that."
"All right, back to the game. Both of you have played well." Ace started talking with them.
Greyson listened to Ace attentively. He has huge respect for Ace. Ace was and is his god when it comes to the gaming world.
Grant leaned back in his seat as he spoke with Ace about his tactics.
"Well, that's it for today. Samuel will give you a message soon. See you two soon and I hope everything is clear. If you two any doubts, Samuel will clear your doubts," Ace spoke looking at Grant and Greyson.
Grant and Greyson could only listen to Ace's voice. They cannot see him but that's okay, they properly remember how Ace looks like.
They said their goodbyes, the call ended and the screen went blank.
"So?" Samuel asked looking at Ace who leaned back in his seat and closed his eyes.
"Feels weird playing with others after a long break," Ace replied.
Samuel laughed standing up from the seat. He wandered over to where the water bottles are kept. He took one, opened it and drank the water.
Ace went through the notes he has written. "Book their flight tickets. Tell them to apply for the visa. Sawyer will look into the matters and help you with their visa," Ace said.
"Okay, I will talk with Sawyer. Do you want them to be in India by next month?"
"Yes."
"So everyone got selected?" Samuel asked wandering back to Ace.
"They were selected way back, I just wanted to have an interview with them," Ace replied ticking off the list.
"Hmm." Samuel nodded his head.
Ace stared at the paper as the voice of Greyson's sister played in his mind.
"What ya thinking?" Samuel asked.
"Greyson's family was waiting for him, we should've ended the meeting earlier," ace said turning his head.
"Don't worry, he must've said something to them," Samuel replied.
Ace nodded his head, "come on. Let's go and have our dinner. Maya and Sawyer must be waiting for us," Ace said standing up.
"Yup."
Ace stretched his arms and legs before wandering towards the door. Samuel followed Ace.
"Remember to close the doors all the time. Don't keep them open at night. It's a mountain area so the bugs and different kinds of flies get attracted to the light," Ace said.
"Okay."
They walked on the pathway towards the home. Samuel can hear the noises of the kids.
"Aryan and Kriti argue a lot," Ace replied climbing the steps.
