The one that has to be forgotten

Ruth looked at Samuel with an intense gaze as he stood before them. A sigh left her mouth, she turned her head away. "Samuel, don't test my patience," Ruth said massaging her head. Samuel looked at Ruth, "I'm not testing your patience and I don't know why you are asking me these many questions," Samuel replied. "I'm asking you questions because you are the only one who met Ace. I know that something has happened six months ago. You aren't telling me and us about Ace. Where is he?" Ruth stared in seriousness. Samuel signed massaging his face with his hands. "I seriously can't tell you that. If we are done here, can you all go and practice for your tournament," Samuel said standing up from his seat. "I'm your manager but I'm also working for the company that is sponsoring you. Get back to your seats and practice," Samuel said in all seriousness. Diego didn't say a word, he stood from his seat and left to their training room. He doesn't have anything to tell him or anyone. Antonio and Kaleb shared a look before standing up. "Kaleb and Antonio, the gaming manager are going to watch your game. Please be serious about your practice." "Okay, we will be serious," Antonio said. Samuel nodded his head. They looked at Ruth before leaving the room. Samuel turned his head and looked at Ruth. "Ruth... Nothing is going to happen. Understand and move on, you can't just argue with me every time regarding Ace. He is not the same person, he doesn't like to talk or meet you guys now. I cannot tell you about his location. When he wants to meet you guys, he will," Samuel said. "I have work to do. You go and concentrate on your training." Samuel didn't wait for Ruth to talk knowing she would be asking him again and wouldn't listen to him. Ruth closed her eyes in annoyance. She looked around to see all her teammates left. She stood from her seat grumpily and wandered over to where the training room is. "Is Diego okay?" Kaleb asked in a whisper tone to Antonio. Antonio looked at Deigo who already logged in and started playing a game. "I don't know, it's complicated right now. Ruth is making situations harder for Diego and herself," Antonio said. Before Kaleb could say anything, Ruth entered the room with a bang. Kaleb turned his head and fixed his gaze on the screen. Ruth wandered towards her seat beside Diego. "What are you waiting for? Log in and start the game," Diego said looking at Kaleb and Antonio. "Sure," Kaleb replied. "Just a minute," Antonio said. "Not gonna repeat, log in. The head is waiting in the room," Diego said indirectly to Ruth. "Where is Preston?" Diego asked when he saw the seat empty. "He will be there in a minute, he texted a while ago. We were in Samuel's office," Kaleb said. Diego picked his phone and called Preston. The one who took the position of the fifth member in their group. "Training room now," Diego said and ended the call in seconds. Kaleb and Antonio stayed quiet understanding the cold atmosphere. They just hope that Preston doesn't open his mouth and ask Ruth anything. Ruth logged in as she received the messages from the company's head. She cannot ignore this match as the heads of the company will be watching and her career is dependent on this match. Samuel signed as he looked at the screen. Preston is yet to join the room. Everyone did except Preston. Kaleb turned his head and looked at the door when Preston entered the room. "Wassup guys, where were you all?" Preston questioned wandering over to his seat. Kaleb shook his head telling Preston not to open his mouth. Preston's brows frowned in confusion as he looked at Kaleb. "What? What ya saying? I can't understand Kaleb," Preston said. "Shut the f**k up and take your damn seat. Log into the room," Ruth said rudely. "Shut the f**k up? Are you serious? be calm, woman. I just asked, no reason to be rude," Preston said taking his seat. "Calm down? You keep asking questions all the time." "That's because you all always leave me out of the discussion. As a part of the group, I need to know too," Preston said loudly. "Are you guys going to fight now? Everyone is waiting in the room for the game to start. If you two f*****g want to be a part of the team, then just shut your mouths and play the game," Diego said in all his seriousness. "Guys please, don't say anything. Just join the room," Antonio said looking at Preston. Preston shook his head, took his seat and stared at the screen as he joined the room. "They are going to start the game in two minutes," Samuel said to the person on call. "Samuel, we are looking for new members. If they don't perform well in this match, I don't have the right to keep them in the team. The boarding team of the company is also watching the game, I just hope they don't play this game as a training game," Max said. Samuel closed his eyes, "yes, Max. I understand but I don't know about the changing of members. Why they are searching for new members?" "Because there is a talk going on in the gaming industry that a new team is joining the community and will be playing next year tournaments. Mr Haurat doesn't want to take any risk. As you can see from the past few days, Ruth and Diego's performance dropped drastically," Max said. Samuel massaged his head as the tension started rising in him. He doesn't know about this. If he has known he would've given Diego and others a heads-up on this. "Samuel, I will call you back later. The match started." "Yeah... Yeah... Okay, call me immediately and tell me about the situation after this," Samuel said. "Sure." Max ended the call. Samuel placed the phone beside him and leaned back in his seat. He knew that once Ace's team starts playing the tournaments next year, it would be too difficult for jaggers to win the matches. He is concerned about Diego, Antonio, Kaleb and Preston's careers. They are serious about their gaming career. It's not like he isn't concerned about Ruth's career. He is but Ruth herself isn't concerned about her career. He turned his head up and looked at the monitor screen to see the match. The match went on for an hour. Preston looked at Diego in surprise. After a long time, Diego played well. He didn't miss the game up like he has been doing for the last few months. Samuel sighed heavily looking at the match result. The only member who didn't play well is Ruth. "Ruth... What happened? Why were you allowing them to use their power on you? Why didn't fight back?" Antonio questioned standing up from his chair. "It was difficult to protect you. Because of your play, Preston couldn't fight off the melees all by himself," he added. Ruth glared at Antonio. She stood up from her chair and started walking towards the door. "Ruth, walking away doesn't answer our questions. You are my partner in the back. You have to answer our questions," Preston said. "We can talk about this later, let her go now. We will discuss this matter tomorrow," Kaleb said. "It's always like this Kaleb. We decide to tell her later but we don't get the guts to tell her. It has to be spoken right now," Preston said. "Diego, you are the captain of the team. You have to talk to her on her performance," Preston said. Diego looked at Preston and Antonio who are standing side by side. "Max and Samuel will be the ones who will talk to her and us about our performance. No talks, nothing. Go to your rooms, Samuel will call us," Diego said standing up from his chair. He wandered over to the door without making any eye contact with Ruth. Ruth knew that she is doped. Now that Diego is not talking to her, she cannot say anything to him directly. She tried to talk to him but he ignored her all the time. Samuel isn't happy with her performance, today's match was an important one. But she couldn't concentrate on her gameplay. She is stuck on the finding of Ace. If she doesn't get back to Ace, her career comes to end. Now that Samuel knew about Ace, she cannot keep calm. "You have to be careful, Ruth. Don't be harsh on Samuel and Max when they are here," Antonio said before leaving the room with Preston and Kaleb.
