SOFIA’S POV I woke up in the dark, snuggled into Archer’s bare, muscular, warm chest. I clung to him, trying to fall back asleep but the shadows that roamed around the room would not let me. The shadows of the tree branches from outside the windows shone into the room, my brain thinking it’s the beast I saw earlier. I know it’s nothing of the beast’s shape nor nothing like it, but my terrified brain imagines his figure lingering around in our room, stepping out from the darkness of the corners as the wind blows the branches into different directions. ‘Goddess I know he’s not real, make it go away’. I prayed, over and over again as I shut my eyes, trying not to look at anything. I tried to keep my eyes shut, trying to force myself to fall back asleep. I counted sheep, made up fake scenario
