Chapter 19 His brakes screeched as he slammed on the pedal to stop near a crumbling gas station where Blaze sat on a stump, shoulders drooping. Logan jumped out, but Blaze waved away his hug. “I’m too dirty.” So Logan removed the top of a big bottle of water and handed it to Blaze. He tipped the bottle and chugalugged it dry, then said, “We’re even.” “What does that mean?” “I saved your life from a rogue wolf, now from a crazy ex. You saved me from wolves last night and now from myself.” He dropped the filthy blanket and reached for the robe in Logan’s hand. The sight of that bare chest covered with cuts and scratches made Logan ache to lean his cheek against the soft matt covering hard muscles and huge pecs.
