If there was ever a time that Amber had felt at peace, then this moment was definitely it. Amber walked out of the prison feeling relieved, surely Steven could not be brought back to life but she got him he peace that he deserved.
In a few days, Ridge would be sentenced to prison and Amber’s new lawyers had assured her that there was no way that he would get out of this. He would get no less than twenty-five years in prison. Amber wanted more, something like a life sentence or even more but she had to wait until the hearing.
Nick was rattled, Amber had been in the visitation room with that killer and he was nowhere near to her. Nick had to admit that he was truly afraid; the officer was in there with the both of them but what if the officer could not do that, and then what would he do?
