The next couple days Mike went to and from work never saying a word to David. He was still too angry to speak to him without causing a fight. He showed up for rehearsal and went through the motions. On the weekend he decided to drive out to the old house and finish some of the necessary renovations before the open house next week. They were hoping to sell the old place and use the profits to pay for his grandmother’s room in the old folk’s home. He and his friends had come out periodically over the last month fixing it up, and there wasn’t much left to do. There were only a few rooms that needed some paint and some old furniture that needed to be hauled out to the dump.
