It was two in the morning when David arrived at Chase’s door, but she had not been asleep, she was too upset to sleep. “If you’re here to grovel for Mike I’m not interested.” She grumbled when she saw him standing in the hallway. “Just hear me out.” Chase moved to close the door on him, but David put out his hand to stop her. He wasn’t going to be dismissed so easily. “Ok no talking about Mike. Can I come in?” She looked thoughtful for a moment and then she stepped aside and let him in.
