The Shaw family is a respectable one, sure, but the Scott family is even more so, and thus is not to be messed with. So, when Ryker called Ava’s parents directly and asked that they pay for Samantha’s medical fees, he wasn’t surprised by their yielding. They wouldn’t want to upset his family.
He could have paid the bill himself, but he wanted to teach Ava a lesson - of which that was only the start.
The following day, when he reaches the parking lot and after leaving his bike in its usual spot, he glares at his surroundings, making it hell-a obvious that he isn’t in the best of moods.
The crowd outside parts for him, the tension is almost palpable… they are afraid of a possible lash-out.
