Ryker takes me to a fancy restaurant despite all my protests. He says it is only fitting that we go there considering our outfits.
“I cannot afford such a place,” I tell him in distress.
“But I can,” he shrugs, and I shake my head negatively. I am about to protest some more when he adds, “Don’t argue with me on this. I have enough money to cover the bill, not that you had any chance of paying to begin with.”
I give up with an audible huff before brightening up when I see the interior of the restaurant.
It is our first date. Not sure if we can call it that considering it wasn’t planned in advance, but I don’t think its unexpected nature makes it any less of a date - and an enjoyable one at that.
