I looked intensely at Ely lying on his hospital bed, my heart swelled with both relief and anxiety. "I'm very happy that you came back, Ely. I always wished you to come back," I murmured, trying to keep my voice steady despite the emotions swirling inside me. "Let me call your parents."
Ely managed a weak smile, his eyes filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Olivia," he whispered hoarsely, reaching out to touch my hand. "You've been such a good friend to me."
