"Are you two good?"

1963 Words
"I have a condom," Cole said as he raised his head, and the condom fell from his hand as he gasped. I froze as well, as Cole digested the scene he was witnessing. It was not long until disgust overtook his features. I saw Mike smirk from the corner of my eye, and he then said, "Wrong room." Cole growled under his breath, before turning around, "My bad Mike." "Wait," I screamed, but Mike thrusted into me, and my moan made Cole's muscles stiffen, and he closed the door behind him. I pushed myself from underneath Mike, and grabbed my robe from the edge of my bed. I rushed towards the door only to hear Mike say, "Where are you going?" "f**k you Mike," I replied, storming from the room and racing after Cole. Surprisingly, he had already been down the stairs and opened the front door as I rushed to reach him. I raced outside the house and watched him stomp towards his car parked at the end of the driveway, near the gates. "Cole, wait!" He did not stop, neither did he even glance backwards in my direction. I continued to run after him, until my hand finally pulled his arm backwards, but he flinched at my touch, ripping my grasp from him. He did not stare at me, and he avoided my gaze. As I breathed heavily, I attempted to find his eyes. "Please, look at me." "I can't," he said in a low growl, "Because all I can see is disgust." "I'm nothing with Mike. He just barged into my room and started having s*x with me—" "But you didn't say no, did you?" I paused, then shook my head. "You knew I was coming back, right? I told you I was getting a condom." I bit my bottom lip, "I'm sorry." He scoffed, holding in his insults as he turned around, storming away from me. I raced for him again, and grabbed his wrist. "Please, don't go. Let me at least come with you." "No." "Come on Cole, please." "I said no." "Cole." Although Cole wanted to tell me no, his heart was too kind, that he looked away and cursed under his breath. He paused for a moment, sending a hand through his hair and scratching his temple. With a final sigh, he finally asked, "Do you have any feelings for him, August?" "No, I don't." "Are you going to keep having s*x with him?" "I won't, I promise." "You promise?" he repeated. I gulped; that was going to be a hard promise. "Yes, I do." Then, he leaned in, wrapped his arms around me, and my face was engulfed into his chest. I sighed, finally feeling rested as I hugged his waist, holding him from running away from me. "I'm still angry, but I can get over it." I squeezed him, tightening my grip with all his muscles causing a sudden rush within my body. However, I wish Mike could hold me like this, and maybe treat me with kindness the same way Cole did. I shook my head, kicking the thought of Mike from my brain, and focused on Cole, who interlaced our fingers and guided me to his car. I slept at his place that night. We took a shower together, in which we had s*x, and had more s*x in his bedroom. We fell asleep cuddling naked into each other's arms, but he was different from Mike. He slept by himself, one arm underneath my head but his entire body completely separated from me. Every time I attempted to push myself closer to him, he shuffled away, complaining about, "It's too hot." I was shivering underneath the blanket since the air was cooler. However, I fell asleep, and was able to pull Mike away from my mind. *** "Yesterday was insane," Eric said at the breakfast table. A few people had stayed overnight; his entire crew of James, Dave, Liam and Hanzo. Also, the blond kid from the Jacuzzi was named Eners, who had also stayed overnight. Eric's girl was also seated at the table, her name was Jessica. Alyssa was seated beside Mike, who stuffed his face into their breakfast. They had called a chef and a few waiters for the next day, and they arrived bright and early, ready to cook for everyone who had remained. They were all lethargic, dragging their feet and almost bumping into one another. Although it was morning, Eric lit a blunt and passed it along the table, a few people taking their hits and passing it on until it returned him, almost finished. That was what they usually did during the mornings after huge parties when their father was not home. Everyone chuckled, talking about certain things that happened during the night. "James tackled me into the pool, and I was so high that I thought I was drowning, even though my feet were touching the bottom of the pool," Liam laughed, taking another plate of bacon and eggs. The table began chuckling, all chewing their foods. Alyssa spoke as well, "A few of you were going wild on that cocaine." "It was a little spiced up," Mike admitted with a snicker, his eyes barely open, and Eric raised his eyebrows. "With what?" Mike smirked, "I don't tell other people's secrets." "We were over the roof," Dave laughed, munching on his toast. Hanzo sighed in relief, "I'm so happy I did not take a line." "You missed out," Eric commented. Jessica rapidly nodded her head. "Yes, I felt as if I was floating." "You laid on the ground for most of the party," Hanzo added, and a few laughed, agreeing that they had seen her lying on the grass in a bikini. She shrugged, "Best feeling I've had yet while being high." "Only beginners say that," Mike scoffed condescendingly, "Try opium and you'll never go back to silly drugs like cocaine." Eric chuckled, "That's absolutely right," he turned to his brother, "Mike, remember when Dad used to make us take a hit of opium?" A few eyes widened, and Dave gasped, "Mr. Hawk did opium?" "Yea, I was like thirteen I think?" He turned to Eric for confirmation. "Mhmm," his brother agreed, "We were high as a kite." Liam raised an eyebrow, "Do you think he'd get high with us if you ask?" "He still does sometimes," Mike confessed, "He just tries to hide it. I can tell when someone's high though." "I'm surprised," Jessica added, leaning against Eric's shoulder as she chewed on some bacon. Alyssa also attempted to do the same, but Mike pushed her off, and she narrowed her eyes in his direction. "Would you let us hit opium?" James asked. Mike shook his head, putting more sausages on his plate. The chef came out with more food, and the table dove in even more. "Not for free, no. That's not silly drugs, it's expensive as fuck." Suddenly, the front door was heard to open, and that was when I came in. Cole marched in first, and raised his hand when he came into view of the dining room. The others cheered for him as he entered, finding a seat and shaking hands. I appeared from behind him, and Eric frowned towards me, while the others greeted me. Mike did not even meet my gaze, but he did shake hands with Cole, whose muscles stiffened completely. I sat beside Cole, right across from Mike who avoided staring at us. Eric raised an eyebrow in our direction, "Where did you two stay?" "We stayed at mine," Cole answered, and I nodded my head, attempting to resist the urge of glancing towards Mike. I grabbed a plate and filled it with some breakfast foods, and Cole did the same. A few whistles went around the table, and Cole chuckled nervously, "Shut up guys." "So is it official or can I still hit on her?" Liam joked, but Cole did not seem to take it lightly. "Try to if you want," he threatened, and Liam raised his hands. James chuckled, "Someone's a little defensive." "That's because August is a slut," Mike did not hesitate to say, which caused the entire table to fall completely silent, "And she has s*x with anything that walks. That's why he's a little scared." An uncomfortable silence made each of them stare amongst one another, and Mike continued to chew on his food, as if Cole was not sending him a death glare, and the rest of the table were not wide eyes. I remained quiet, biting my tongue as I began chewing on my food. There was so much food, that my stomach began grumbling, wishing I could eat all those foods at the same time. A chatter returned, and laughter and jokes echoed throughout the dining room. Jessica said, "We were talking about that line of cocaine, did you hit some?" Cole nodded, "Yea that got me f****d, remember?" He turned to me and I nodded with a long smile. "Yea, he was going crazy yesterday. He almost jumped out his window at one point since he literally thought he could fly." "It was spiced," Eric chuckled, and my eyes widened. "It was spiced?" Cole repeated, and they all nodded their heads. "We were all f****d," Liam added with laughter. Although Cole was chuckling, he did not seem happy about that fact. He also held back his tongue since he knew it was Mike's drugs, and continued eating. However, Mike had noticed the strange look on his face, and raised his head. "There's a problem with it being spiced, Cole?" Cole locked his eyes for a moment, then shook his head. "No problem, it was pretty cool actually," it was obvious he meant none of that sentence. "I don't like liars," Mike replied and stood from his seat. The tension between them was thick enough to be sliced with a knife, and I wished I was further away from the both of them. However, as Mike stood from his seat, the air seemed to lighten. Until Liam said, "Are you two good? There seems to be some tension." There was an awkward and cold silence that slid across the table, and they all stared at the both of them."Yea we're good, right Cole?" Mike's forced smile made me feel uneasy. However, Cole calmly nodded, "Right." "Good." Mike did not talk to me for the rest of the weekend. There were a few more parties we all went to together, and after every single one of them, I headed back to Cole's place. However, even Cole could not fill up my desires the way Mike had. Cole was gentle, kind and I hated every time Mike's hungry eyes and grunts came into my mind whenever we were together, but I could not stop them. I missed sliding my hands along his muscles, even arguing with him was something I wish could at least happen, rather than being avoided. However, that was what he did. He did not cross my path, and when he did, he would turn the other direction. He had girls and girls in his bedroom, along with Alyssa who had no idea about his cheating manners. Cole and I had been on a date during the weekend, and it was very romantic and cute. However, there was something in the pits of my stomach that did not feel satisfied, nor genuine. I smiled, and I played along with his jokes, laughing when I needed to and adding my own comments, but I did not want to be there. I had made a promise though, and I was to withhold that promise. However one thing I could not lie about, was that I did miss him.
