“I’m just so embarrassed.” Margot pressed her fingers against her temples while her friend sipped her cup of tea.
“Don’t feel bad,” Sandy said. “I’m sure everyone involved understands.”
That was the problem right there. They understood all too well. When Margot received Sandy’s invitation to meet during her lunch break, she didn’t want to accept. She’d be working late tonight.
