CHAPTER Margot had just poured her second glass of wine when she jumped. The door. Someone was knocking on her door. Becky. She ran to the entryway, stared out the peephole. Like a trained dog, she thought to herself. A trained dog rushing to greet his owner, except he doesn’t realize that his owner’s never coming home. It wasn’t Becky. Or anybody else Margot was happy to see.
