5 Al led the way down the narrow flight of stairs. Lilly grasped the slim frame that constituted a railing and gasped as the wooden structure shook under her weight. She yanked her hand back as Una caught her shoulders from behind her. “I think I know why they keep this place locked up,” Una quipped as she glared at the offensive railing. “It’s so the building inspectors can’t get down here to condemn the whole place.” “They can condemn it after we’re done down here,” Al returned as he reached the floor and scoured the area with his sharp Star eyes.
