When Aldric told me about his friend, Alpha Silas, and his pack, I'd gathered from everything he told me that Silas would be younger than him by at least a year or two. But I definitely hadn't seen this coming. Not at all.
I didn't even know it was him at first when he came rushing downstairs to welcome us when we arrived. I’d been glancing behind him, waiting to see if the real Alpha we came to see was following.
So imagine my shock and surprise when I saw him pull Aldric into a hug as they exchanged greetings and pleasantries.
Don't get me wrong, it's not like I'm trying to undermine or look down on him or anything like that—I swear I'm not.
