I ignored Aldric as I continued to pull him down the hallway, my eyes darting frantically around us to make sure we're still alone.
I need to find a private place for us to talk. I can't tell him here—it's too risky. Someone might hear us, and at this point, there's no telling who.
I can't believe this is happening. Just a moment ago, my biggest worry was the possibility of having to come face-to-face with Thorin again, and probably Kira too, when they show up here for this land issue.
And now...
I was on my way to find Aldric and probably yell at him for not telling me that this trip involved a forced reunion with the two people I hate the most on the surface of the earth when I saw... what did I even see?
