SELENE'S POV
"Alph—um, Aldric," I called in a low voice as he worked on the sandwiches and he paused in his task to look at me.
"Yes, what is it?"
"Where is this place? Where are we?" I asked, and he looked slightly confused for a second before realization dawned on his face as he nodded.
"Right. I forgot you've never been here before. This is my house, Selene. My home," he answered, his eyes staring directly into mine as he spoke.
I remembered. Allison did mention that he had another place aside from the pack house. A mansion. Where she said he spends most of his time.
I suddenly felt very stupid. Why didn't I think of that?
"Did the rain stop already?"
I saw lightning flash brightly in the night sky as I looked out the window and frowned in confusion.
