Chapter One: Nine Years Ago
Third person point of view The eerie silence of the night was interrupted by grunts and groans of the fight that had taken place in the Rising Sun Coven. The coven members were woken up from a peaceful slumber in the middle of the night by an alarm signaling that someone had broken through a protective shield spell that was placed around coven grounds. The High Priestress and her strongest wizards and witches immediately came to action, sending spells and potions towards the enemy. The protective spells were casted upon people who run to save inocent children and elderly people. The rogue army led by ruthless rogue Alpha was coming closer to the coven living grounds from the surrounding forest. The kinesis witches and wizards took action, using their powers to manipulate water, earth, wind and electric currents to their best advantage. The rest were throwing incantations of every type towards the rogues, freezing them, slowing them down, stunning them, but they were fast and agile, avoiding most of the spells that were flying in their direction. There was too many of them coming from all sides, the magic lifting them and forcing them back, flingging them off, but that didn´t stop the pressure as more and more was coming. The older wizard was running towards the fight using his power of hydrokinesis, calling upon the water from the river and the rainstorm creating the diversion in the fight. The water drops were frozen when they came in contact with rogue werewolves, slowing down their movements. The other witch, using the opposite approach, boiling the water as it fell down the rogues making them howl in pain. The wizard controlling the water was trying to protect himself while his hydropowers were helping the fight by throwing ice balls and boiling water balls chanting a spell to intensify the strength of the power balls. He created the icicles from falling rain water, sharp and hard, that were piercing through the wolves' fur, stabbing them everywhere in the process as the run trying to aviod them. He was so focus on fight in front of him that he didn´t see the on coming from behind tackling him. His sharp and long canines biting on his shoulder as he chanted the spell that threw the rogue away. But another one jumped on him, slashing his back with his claws making the wizard scream into the air in pain. The icicle was falling, stopping abruptly as he tried to heal himself by whispering the words, while the rogue was whisked by the strong wind trapping him with few to hers in a small tornado snapping their bones and necks in process. He turned his head watching as the witch controlling the wind power was using the strong and fast blowing air to created tornadoes and whirlpools traps as the wizard next to them with hands on the ground flying heavy rocks and stones towards rogues, the earth beneath shaking in the power the resonated through the ground. The merciless fight was taking place all around the coven as he thought about protecting the most valuable for him, his children. His pride and joy. His Eden and Elyes. The scrawy teenage boy woke up with a startle as he listened the sound of the night that should be normally calm, silent and peaceful, but there was a loud uproar of people screaming, bodies clashing, ear-piercing howling, angry grunts, scary shouts of pain and wails of dispear. The young wizard looked around the room he was sleeping in mere moments ago. On the bed next to him was lying a small body of a young girl that was still dreaming, unaware of the battle in progress. Her long wavy and fiery red hair was splattered all over the pillow, she was on her side cuddling to the boy who was now awake, his body pulsing with energy as his magic was sweeping and taking over his whole body. At the age of fiveteen, he was already a trained wizard with pyrokinesis power, the ability to control the fire. His red hair so similar to his sister´s next to him started to flame from the roots until eventually his whole hair was flaring a bright orange colour of fire, creating a speck of light in otherwise total in the darkness of the night. He jumped from the bed, dressing himself in haste as he understood the screams and fighting outside and knew he must help to protect his coven. "Custodire Eden," the red-haired wizard whispered, waving a hand in his sister´s direction, watching as lines of orange light sproat from his hand and started to form a protective soundproof shield around her small body. After the orange lines morphed together and created an invisible dome over the sleeping girl on the bed, the satisfied boy finally turned and left the room. He ran outside following the sounds of battle, the sight that greeted him was horrific with bodies spread on the ground, people shouting spells, the blood pouring from their bodies as their wounds were not healed but they were still fighting the beasts. He joined the war using his firepower to protect those in the front lines from the rogues that were luring them and waiting to pounce. From the corner of his eyes he saw movement as the door of the house that was in now destroyed and in flames opened and someone was running out of it. "Violet! Get back!" the ginger-haired boy screamed at a young girl with dark almost black hair as she ran through the people battling, but unfortunately she didn´t hear him. One of the enemy wolves noticed a small body running through the supernatural that was still fighting until dead and jumped into action with one simple purpose. To kill her. To rip her little throat out. The beast of rogue didn´t care that she was just a child. No, the beast wanted blood, any blood for that matter. The scary looking rogue wolf with patches of fur missing and a scar running through his eye jumped in the air aiming for a girl with black hair who was running absentmindely to the big house ahead of her, not realising she was in huge danger. The girl was thrown into the tree with the strength of a massive body. That crack of the bone couldn´t even be heard as the shouts of fighting continued. The filthy beast was ready to strike and essentially kill the whimpering child lying on the ground with a broken arm. The ginger boy was having none of it. The rage and fury of such a horrific act happening right in front of him filled his veins making him almost burst in flames from the intensity. "Immotus!" screamed the boy with flaring hair. The palm of his hand turned towards the rogue, who froze midair, not understanding what was happening. The girl finally reached her destination by crossing the protective barrier of the house, opening the door and closing it with a loud tud sound. Nobody was concentrating on the sound of the door as a few bystanders were watching the rogue's body flying high in the air frozen and stiff like a rock before the young wizard unleased his flames and burned the motionless wolf down to aches. The group of four rogues who saw their companion burn alive instantly run towards the wizard with a plan to avenge the fellow rogue, but unfortunately for them, the boy noticed just in time. His magic was blasting through his body taking over every cell, tissue and organ, the blood flowing through his veins joined with magic filling him with roaring power. The dark figure clad in a long black cloak was watching from the distance the searing fight between coven witches and wizards and his army of rogues. The filfy mutts were losing slowly, but he didn´t care about them. He saw what he wanted. It may not be what he was originally looking for, but it is still better than nothing. The wizard with flaring hair looked not more than sixteen, still at the age of fully developing his magic powers, and yet he had already shown an incredibly strong ability of pyrokinesis. The boy was his, he would be another interesting figurine to his collection of powers. The blasting fire power was such a rare one nowadays, he couldn´t believe his luck that he was able to find it. When the boy was of age to fully enhance his ability, the dark warlock can easily extract the power for himself effectively by killing the unaware wizard. In the meantime, he could wipe out his memory and replace it with his own slightly modified memories. He would make a mindless soldier for him, to control and do everything he wanted. Yes, he liked that plan very much. Very much indeed. He smiled with an evil smile spread on his face, his wicked mind working overdrive as he made way towards the young wizard who had just roasted the bunch of rogues. I came closer to the wizard and waved his head, sending the spell in his direction as the full power hit him in the back, making him drop on the ground unconscious. Meanwhile, in the dark room, the protective shield came crashing down around the sleeping girl, breaking into pieces and no longer creating a safe environment for her. Her protector was no longer there.
