Archer gently opens the door to the nursery. He’s careful not to bump his cargo against anything. She’s so small in his arms that he doesn’t think it’s possible. He gently places her down on her bed and shimmies the cover up to cover her. Chloe grumbles slightly and turns over in her sleep. Archer can’t help but to watch her. She sleeps so soundly, especially for someone who lived in a place that had no security. He wonders if she’s ever felt at peace and he thinks that look at her, right there, may be the only time she’s had peace. She looks beautiful there, too.
