Author’s POV: Dominic had to tighten his fists as he watched his men carry away the petite frame of Charlotte. He dug his nails into his flesh, hoping it would help him hide the emotion he was feeling at seeing their roughness in handling her. Turning around also helped him calm the inner fire of his dragon. Taking deep breaths in, he looked out to where the air meets the water's surface.
