CHAPTER SEVEN The hour flew by. Lucy stood next to Ryker on the mini-field she’d set up using cones. She hadn’t known what to expect with the first practice, but she begrudgingly gave him credit. The guy could coach. After a rocky start, he’d harnessed the boys’ energy with warm-up exercises and drills. He never once raised his voice. He didn’t have to. His excitement about the sport mesmerized both the boys and Lucy. Out on the field, he seemed larger-than-life, sexier, despite the boot on his foot. Thank goodness practice was only sixty minutes, twice a week. That was more than enough time in his presence. Maybe even too much if she didn’t want a full-blown crush to erupt.
