Heading back I told her that everyone should have a birthday, a day to celebrate and that she wasn’t any different. In the end we decided that her special day should be the day that I found her; she happily agreed. “So, did you sleep well sweetheart?” I asked her, wanting to keep the conversation flowing as we made our way back towards the pack house when I took note that we had been out for hours.
