Chapter 2. Hiding in his wardrobe

**Luna Lawson** I stood my ground, not shaking, as the dragon man walked up to me and stopped right in front of me. I could see my people visibly shaking, afraid of what these dark men wanted to do to me. "Hmm," he hummed as he walked around me, and I didn’t shake in fear, waiting for him to open his mouth and burn me to ashes since he was a dragon. "Strip!" he commanded, and I froze. "What?" I asked, meeting his red eyes as he stopped in front of me. I could still see the surprised looks of disbelief on the faces of the other four dragons, who had all shapeshifted to look like us humans, and were surprised to hear I was a woman. "You heard me correctly. Now strip!" he commanded again, and my blood boiled with anger as I saw the look of rejection on my people's faces. "Don't think I have time to waste here with you. You actually sliced the throat of a royal dragon guard. How powerful are you? So I need to confirm whether you're truly a female or a male before deciding your punishment here and now, before taking you to our king." "Hmm," I hummed. "Okay," I agreed, and the dragon man smiled, his red eyes lighting up like coals. "Go on," he said, stepping back. I took a deep breath and summoned the courage to start stripping. I removed my shield first and then my warrior garment. I saw their eyes nearly pop out of their sockets with surprise; they were astonished to discover that I was truly a woman—a pretty, hot woman at that. I watched as the dragon man's eyes burned even redder, clearly captivated by my bosom. He approached me, but I stood my ground, unshakeable. Even though I was a female with natural endowments, I was still brutal and ruthless. When he attempted to touch my breast, forgetting that I was still holding my golden sword, I sliced off his hand. He screamed, "How dare you?!" But he didn’t strike me; instead, he waved his other hand at the four men, signaling them not to interfere. I was thinking he was going to kill me as I severed his hand completely, but to my shock, he picked up his hand from the ground and reattached it, magically healing it in an instant. "I see you're a princess. How interesting that the last princess of Sunfield has been disguising herself as a man all this time. You cannot kill me, princess. I am the king's brother, Aaron Diego!" he smirked, and I felt dread run down my spine, but I couldn’t speak as I was still in shock over how he knew I was a princess. He walked closer and forcefully took my sword away from me, then lifted me effortlessly, not minding that I was bare and without clothes. He carried me away while I struggled against his strong shoulders. "Put me down!" I screamed as I fell to the ground, but he transformed and picked me up again, flying away with me and the rest of the dragons, taking me to their dragon king. He claimed to be the dragon king's brother, and I kept struggling to break free from his tight hold, not caring if I fell into the river below as I saw the vast ocean beneath us. I would have preferred to be eaten by a shark rather than taken by a dragon king. Arriving at their dragon kingdom, I was amazed that they had houses like those of humans. They had beautiful houses—towering structures rather than the huts or tents we made for shelter while we were running away. I was captured by night, so by the time we reached their dragon city, it was already day and sunny. Many dragons began coming out from their various houses to peer at us. Aaron flew faster than the other four and, upon arriving at a towering building, he landed on his feet. I felt shame wash over me as I saw the eyes of all the gathered people staring at me while I was still bare. "Your majesty!" Aaron held a bright smile on his face, and I cursed under my breath for being without clothes. I stared at the front of the castle, trying to use my hands to cover my large breasts. But they were too big, and I felt utterly embarrassed. I saw a man stepping out from the towering building, and our eyes locked. He gulped and looked at a guard with grey hair, who snapped his fingers. Two female dragon women approached me. I could not tell if they were humans or dragons, but the females looked cute and bronze-skinned. They thankfully brought me a wrapper, but they weren’t smiling as they dragged me away after wrapping me like a bread. I glanced back at the male dragon who emanated authority with his long golden hair. My eyes burned as I met his sharp blue gaze while I saw Aaron walk up to him. "Face where you're going!" the two strong-armed females commanded as they dragged me roughly. I knew escaping from them wouldn’t be easy. I was hoping to see my sisters, and my mind swirled with questions: What did they want from me, and where were they taking me? They led me through another part of the mansion, taking me upstairs. At first, I thought they were taking me to the dungeon or prison house, but instead, they led me higher. My mind was confused about what they really wanted to use me for. Did they want to cook me? "No!" I screamed. "Let me go!" I fought against the two strong females, surprising them as I stomped down hard on them and summersaulted backwards, not caring if my wrapper came loose or not. I wasn’t ready to be cooked just yet. "What has come over you? Do you think you can escape from us, or do you think we are humans?!" they cursed after me as I ran away, with them chasing me. I dashed through another door, not caring about the side of the mansion I entered. I needed to hide from them, and escaping from the towering building was my only solution. Luckily for me, there weren’t many guards in the house, and I wondered who the grey-haired man and the golden-haired man were. Who among them was the dragon king? None of that mattered; hiding was my only priority. I pushed open a door and stepped inside, freezing in horror at the beautiful golden bedroom I had just entered. These dragons were rich. How come? I stood petrified as I stared at the king-sized bed, not made of wood, but gold. Everywhere in the mansion sparkled with gold, and I assumed I had stepped into the golden-haired man’s bedroom. "s**t!" I cursed softly just as I heard footsteps approaching from behind me. Not knowing what to do, I ran into his wardrobe, hiding among the clothes to ensure they would cover me. I needed an explanation for how these dragons amassed such wealth while we were poor and hiding in the shadows. "Your majesty!" I heard the two women call as they ran up to meet the footsteps that had stopped. I recognized their voices. "What's going on?" he replied, but I froze as his voice made me shiver inside the wardrobe. "Your majesty, the new female has run away, and she's hiding somewhere around here." "Hmm," I heard him hum, followed by silence. Then I heard the door to the room close. I didn’t know if he had left or if he was still there, as I couldn't see through the wardrobe door. I was sweating, wondering what was going on between them.
