[Bianca] “Um…” I stared at Dante in surprise. I wasn’t sure what he meant by that, since I already knew that we wouldn’t be able to afford to go to the hospital. “I hope that you will allow me to join you and your mother on her first doctor’s appointment?” he said slowly, and hope suddenly filled me. “Yes,” I whispered as I ran toward him and threw myself against him, wrapping my arms around his waist. Dante’s reaction was slow but I snuggled against his chest as I battled to keep the tears away. Finally, he wrapped his arms around me and rested his chin on the top of my head. “Thank you,” I added softly and as we stood there, wrapped around each other, I suddenly felt awkward and let him go. “Sorry,” I quickly said as I felt my cheeks pinken. “No apology necessary,” he said, and I smiled before I turned back to the large window and stared out at the view. “I will need more information, though,” he said, and I nodded. “Anything,” I said as I wrapped my arms around myself. “I have all of her medical stuff at the apartment,” “Well then, you should bring it with you when you move in,” he said casually. “When do you want to move in?” “Now? Today?” I asked hopefully as I turned back to him. Dante nodded and, since I didn’t truly know him all that well, I paused. “When…um…well, what I mean is…” my voice trailed off, but Dante seemed to know exactly what I was referring to. I could see it in his eyes, and I couldn’t help but notice how his whole body tensed up. “I will be honest with you, Bianca. I am overdue for a feeding, and I am quite thirsty,” his voice was deeper now, filled with a hunger that made me shiver. “O-ok,” I stuttered. “Maybe…I mean, s**t,” “Whenever you are ready,” he then said, and I could see him trying to compose himself. I may not be an expert with immortals, but even I could tell he was having a hard time. “Let me…just…I don’t know…freshen up?” I said as I inched toward the bathroom I had seen earlier. Freshening up meant that I needed to prepare myself. Dante didn’t say anything as he watched my every move. I just about ran the rest of the way to the bathroom and closed the door behind me. I considered locking it as once again I realized that although Dante was doing all these nice things for me and my mother, I still didn’t know him. He could tear me apart. He could suck me dry. He could hurt me. Suddenly, I was breathing heavily as the panic attack took hold. I leaned against the basin and squeezed my eyes shut. No, he wouldn’t hurt me. According to Milly, direct feedings weren’t harmful and although she didn’t go into much detail, she had said that it was an experience I had to have. I breathed in deeply and held it for a second before letting it out as slowly as I could. Once I had my breathing under control, I wet my face and checked out my neck in the mirror. “No time like the present,” I muttered as I pushed away from the basin and left the bathroom. I was surprised to see that the blinds had been closed and now the living area looked softer somehow. “I hope you don’t mind,” he said when he saw me, and I turned to see that he had changed as well. He had taken off his dark blue jacket and the sleeves of his light blue shirt had been rolled up. He looked more…human and relaxed, which suddenly made me feel comfortable and at ease. “Hmm,” I hummed as I looked around the room. “Where do you…um, want me?” “What I need is for you to take a deep breath and calm your rapidly beating heart,” he said softly, and I found myself doing exactly that. I closed my eyes and breathed in deeply, letting the calm take over as I put all my trust in the vampire. “Good,” he whispered, and for a moment I tensed up as I realized he was no longer standing across the room and that he was now right in front of me. “Relax,” “Hmm,” I kept my eyes closed as I stood as still as I could. I felt him move away and I frowned, but then I suddenly felt his hand on my hip and his touch made me gasp in delighted surprise. The air was filled with a heavy scent that made me feel like I was on a cloud or something. I could tell that he was now standing behind me and while his hand stayed on my hip, his other hand gently brushed my hair aside so that my neck was exposed. “Relax,” he purred again and his breath against my ear made me shudder with anticipation. I felt him step right up against my back and he gently guided me to lean back against him. His body was rigid and hard, but somehow all that did was awaken something deep inside of me. While this confused me and I was curious to know what it was, I didn’t have any time to dwell on it as he suddenly pressed his lips against my neck. I flinched at the contact, but his hand moved from my hip to my arm as he held me firmly against him. It was oddly…the word erotic came to mind and I sucked in a breath as I waited for him to bite me. However, his lips made a kissing sound and I felt as though my whole body was on fire. I shuddered as he suckled on a certain spot that made my legs grow weak. I didn’t have to worry though, because he held me up as his other arm moved around and circled my waist. I actually felt his teeth grow and turn into fangs. I felt them against my neck and suddenly I was feeling desperate as I squirmed slightly. “A…hmmm,” I didn’t have words. They were lost and when he did press his fangs into my skin, I felt the skin tear but there was no pain. I could actually feel him sucking in the blood and my mind went fuzzy as my breathing picked up and, for some reason, I squeezed my legs together. Dante moaned against my neck as he held me tight against him and through the haziness I could feel his hardness pressed against me. I had no idea that this experience was so utterly s****l and pleasurable. I was enchanted and I didn’t want it to end. Even though I could feel the blood being sucked literally out of my body, I was still desperate for more. More of what, I wasn’t sure. When he pulled back slightly, I felt his tongue against my neck and my whole body trembled as a feeling so strong hit me that I cried out. He licked and suckled against my neck before he slowly released me, and I wobbled for a moment but he was there to steady me. “Woah,” I murmured as I slowly opened my eyes. [Dante] What the actual f**k? I stood behind her in shock and awe. I was rock hard and although feeding was a s****l experience, I had never felt this turned on before. Bianca reached up and touched the spot I had fed on and even that alone made me shiver. I had heard her. I had felt her. Bianca had orgasmed during our first feeding and the desire to take her to the bedroom and ravish her was strong. “That was…amazing,” she whispered, and I snapped out of it as I stepped back. “Was it?” I questioned casually. I was baffled by the whole experience and, although I was no longer thirsty, I was now hungry for something more. I shook my head, in hopes of clearing my foggy mind. “Wasn’t it?” I heard her ask and I tensed up. I may want to hide my feelings from her, but I didn’t want to be an asshole. “It was,” I then confirmed before I cleared my throat. “Thank you,” I palmed the bulge in my pants and bit down on my bottom lip to stop the moan that wanted to escape. Bianca still seemed blissfully dazed as she turned around and I quickly removed my hand. However, her gaze didn’t meet mine as she eyed my groin. “Um…” “Did you?” she asked shyly and my eyes went wide. I had thought she was naïve, but clearly not entirely. “No,” her head shot up and she looked at me questioningly. “Anyway, we should get going,” I hurriedly said as I moved passed her to collect the jacket I had draped over the back of the couch. Bianca didn’t say a word as she started to head for the door, but I stopped her. “Mayhap you want to use the bathroom before we go?” she looked startled and then embarrassed and I could’ve kicked myself for making her feel that way. However, before I could say anything, she abruptly turned away and headed for the bathroom. I cursed myself as I fished out my cell phone from my pocket. I quickly located the number I was looking for and hit dial. “Lord Hudson,” the male voice said. He had been waiting for my call. “Yes, we are ready,” I said to him. “Very well, Lord Hudson,” I hung up and waited for Bianca. I felt bad and even though I knew I should probably address the situation, I wasn’t sure how. Once she was done, we left the penthouse, and the elevator ride down was worse than before. Things were tense between us now and I only had myself to blame. Bianca stared out of the window throughout the drive to her apartment but when she saw the ambulance parked outside, she started to claw at the door. “Bianca,” I said firmly, but she ignored me and as soon as Frederick parked the car, she was out. I slowly removed myself from the car and watched as the paramedics emerged from the double doors with Bianca’s mother. “Mom!” she cried out and the two men paused to look at her. “What happened? What’s wrong?” “They just showed up!” some other woman yelled from a window and I frowned. That was Bianca’s apartment. “Aunt Viv! What the hell?” Bianca screamed back at her. I hadn’t realized that her aunt lived with them as well. “If I may explain,” I said as I came around the car. Bianca turned to me, and I stopped. “Your mother needed a safe way to be transported to your new home, I thought this would be appropriate,” “Appropriate?” Bianca yelled. “What would have been appropriate is if you had asked me if you could do that!” I was taken aback by her anger but before I could say anything more, she turned to the men. “Go ahead but be careful with her and make sure she is safe,” she told them before she entered the building and I hurriedly followed her. “Bianca,” I called out, and she stopped in front of an open door. “I do apologize for not asking your permission. I had only wanted her to be comfortable,” “And I would have appreciated the gesture had you done it correctly,” she snapped. All I could do was nod. “Anyway…I’m going to pack, come in if you want,” she entered the apartment and I slowly followed. I looked around and cringed at the state of her living quarters. “Just what the hell is going on?” that same woman shouted as I saw her storm passed the door in the direction Bianca had just gone in. “Dante got us an apartment in the city,” I heard Bianca inform her. “Oh! Why didn’t you say so, I’ll go pack my bag,” however, as the woman came back in my direction, I stood firm, blocking her path.
