Chapter 3 In another twenty minutes, two unfamiliar men in shirts and ties showed up at the door to the lounge. “Hello, I’m Detective Ben Gardner, and this is my partner Kyle Castello,” said the taller of the two. The next hour was spent answering questions by the police. They went over all the things that had happened in the past month, and asked me ten different times if I had any suspicions as to who might be behind this. I didn’t. f**k it all. I wished I did. I wished I had names to give them. I didn’t have scads of friends, but I didn’t specialize in pissing people off either. Nobody came to mind that could be mad enough to do all the things that had been done. Finally the police were satisfied they’d gotten as much information from me as possible and gave me permission to leave.
