THIRD PERSON's POV: Getting to the end of the year, Zaria wakes up to a snowy lawn. The right environment to drink hot chocolate and relax back while listening to peaceful songs, she keeps staring into space until she gets interrupted by her mother's voice that brings her back to earth. "Zaria darling, pls wake up....you're going to be late for the interview" Zaria quickly jumps off the bed and runs into her bathroom. "mum gimme five minutes!!" she gets ready fast and even skips her breakfast to get to the company site on time but got disappointed as the job is given to another person. While walking back home her phone suddenly rings the caller turns out to be her bestie from high school, Kelly. "hey Kel, thought you're dead" Zaria said with sarcasm "hehe really funny, just cut the f**k off and stop being sarcastic with me" Kelly replied. "thanks for being so thoughtful to call, since I am a nobody, I am quite honored to have you talking to me" "OK! I get it, am sorry I've not been calling or texting but you know how it is with my parents. you're the only one that really understands me and actually care about me so how can i forget you? I can't believe you're the one actually saying this!!!" Kelly said with fake annoyance. "stop whining big baby, let's meet up at our base and brood on our failures" Zaria said with a hint of laughter and she knows Kelly is pouting right before she ends the call. Zaria and Kelly are like two opposites that seems to align, these two attended the same high school and college. Zaria is from a middle class family, loves to read alot and study about other species in their world. Though in Caldwell you can't find another other people than humans Zaria still believe one day she will be able to explore other things and beings that exist it lead her into studying history in college. Zaria is a very beautiful girl but prefers to hide her beauty to avoid attention and turns down all the guys that manage to talk to her. Her hair is as black as ebony with alluring red-brown eyes, she hardly talks to people except her best friend who she sees as a sister and shares all her problems with and even trusts her with the secret of her mysterious power that she had been trying to find its source but with no success. After college she had decided to take on the responsibility of taking care of her family and proceeds to find a job, but has not yet made any progress. Later that same day at a secret garden discovered by Kelly and Zaria known as their base. "its ok here" Zaria came down from the cab and waited for it to drive off before heading off to her destination. "this girl is definitely insane what is she doing in the middle of no where, what ever she's doing there is non of my business am just a cab driver and I got paid " after that the cab drove off while she cursed under her breath while walking away. After walking for a while she stopped and looked around to confirm that no other person was in the vicinity before dashing into the thick forest to their secret hideout. There was a tree house hidden in the heart of the forest that had now become Kelly and Zaria's comfort zone, and the snow made the tree house a look warm and welcoming. ........."Kelly am warning you for the last time, OPEN THIS DOOR!!!"Zaria said feeling frustrated from knocking over an hour but Kelly kept on ignoring her. " come on..... how hard is it just say I love you and I promise to let you in" Kelly replied while giggling, she loves getting on Zaria's nerves and this is one of her favorite things to do. Though Kelly is is a rich kid, she hates the fact that she is rich because her parents are distant and only care about their reputation. "ok am gonna say it now and you promise to let me in" "yes, I promise to keep to my word"Kelly starts walking close to the door "ok am waiting, go on now say it ......or you're feeling shy??? she said with barks if laughter. Then Zaria said with gritted teeth"miss Kelly Vancha, I love you with all my heart" "louder!! can't hear you" "I said i love you!!!!, now open the door or I promise to blow up the door right in your face and you know am not joking"now Zaria was feeling smug about it because she knew she could. Immediately Kelly swung the door open knowing that Zaria was more than capable of doing it. "I was only joking and you took me seriously, now you need to calm down hothead" Kelly said while standing in the door way but Zaria just brushed her aside and walked in while telling her how she would actually blow up the door next time. "ok, time to cut out the threat and get to the real deal" Kelly now took a seat opposite Zaria and had a serious look on her face. "yeah you're right buh its still the same and I haven't made any discoveries and this job hunt sucks.......... I ain't even making progress" Zaria was now burying her head in her hands, she waited for a few minutes but didn't get a response and decided to look up only to see her best friend smirking to herself then she rolled her eyes "and what's the smirk for??" "Nothing much, I was wondering if you would like to come on a vacation with me to dexter city. Am sure you can get a clue or two about what's happening to you" Zaria was stunned beyond words and tears freely fell from her eyes"what would I do without you kel" with that she took Kelly into a bear hug. Kelly was trying to hold her tears back "ria you know I don't like tears now you gonna get your ass to your house and get your things ready we have a flight to catch tomorrow morning". while breaking the hug Zaria then composed her face to show no emotion "you dare not tell anyone I ever cried, because Zaria frank never cries" "tell to the birds" and they both burst out laughing and left to their various houses.
