Peniel
Lucian's hand froze on my skin, his eyes narrowing as he sensed his brother's presence. His lips curled into a smirk, though it didn't reach his eyes. "Seems our fun is cut short," he murmured with an irritation. He took a step back, but not before his thumb brushed over the mark he'd left on my neck.
"You don't look well, Peniel," Prince Cassian whispered under his breath as he walked towards me, brushing his thumb against my lips and his other hand landed in my heart—beating fast that changed his facial expression. "Are you okay?" He put a hair behind my ear.
I look away. "Prince Cassian—"
"Call me by my name," he cut me off in a low voice.
I look at his green eyes. There's a huge difference between the fraternal tweens. Lucian screams darkness while Prince Cassian looks angelic with those blond hair, green eyes that sometimes seem to look purple, and his lips that I might just kiss anytime without asking. I am scared that he can actually bewitch me with just a one single smile with those dimples—while Lucian can deceive me with his addictive kisses.
"Careful, freckles," Lucian laughs behind me. "You're looking at my brother like you're not a tool to him to become an Alpha," his words caused Prince Cassian's face to changed. He clenched his jaw as he looked at him.
And all I feel is fear . . .
"Did I hit the nerve, brother?"
"Lucian, don't," I faced Prince Lucian and called him by his name with a low voice. I don't know what's going on with me, but I know that I have to masked my true self at this moment.
His gaze softened on me. "Oh my dear, Genny. I'm getting jealous, are you trying to protect him after tasting my tongue?"
"Jealous, Lucian?" Cassian's voice was smooth, but there was a sharp edge to it. His other hand slid down my arm, fingers trailing fire in their wake. "It's amusing how you think she belongs to you alone."
Lucian's eyes narrowed, his jaw tightening. He stepped closer, his body crowding into mine, making my breath catch. "She tasted more than just my tongue, brother," he murmured, his voice low and dangerous, his hand moving to cup the back of my neck, pulling me closer until our lips were just a breath apart. "But perhaps you need a reminder of what it means to share."
Cassian's grip on my waist tightened as Lucian's words hung in the air, his own expression darkening with an emotion I couldn't quite place.
"You're not the only one who knows how to take what she wants," Cassian replied.
Before I could react, Cassian's lips descended on mine, the kiss searing and demanding. His hand held me in place as he took control, his touch a stark contrast to Lucian's rougher, more aggressive approach. I melted into the kiss, the warmth of Cassian's body pressing against mine, his fingers threading through my hair as he deepened the connection.
But Lucian wasn't content to let Cassian have me all to himself. His hand slid down my back, fingers brushing over the curve of my spine, sending shivers through me. "Don't forget about me, little thief," Lucian mind-linked me, his breath hot and intoxicating as he drawn his mouth against my ear. He pressed his lips to the sensitive skin just below my jaw, his kisses leaving a trail of fire in their wake as Cassian continued to claim my mouth.
“Do you like this, Peniel?” Prince Cassian asked against my mouth that made me groan.
I can’t answer. I want to disagree. But I don’t want them to stop. This feels so good.
“Yes.”
