Peniel
He marked me. Lucian Jax Valor marked me in an accident way. I can see how his mouth were hungry to see me, but he never wanted that. He will never want me to be his mate.
His fingers graze my skin with his eyes sending a warning in mine, and every touch is a battle within himself. I feel the conflict in him, the war between the loathing he feels and the primal urge to be close to me. His mouth buried against mine and he gasped.
"Get the f**k out of here," he gasped against my mouth, I sigh as I still can't seemed to move. I froze in front of him, too shock that it's actually hard to leave when he wanted this.
“What the f**k?” I gasped, shaking my head. “You wanted this… and I don’t want to die. You might betray me after this,” I mumbled under my breath, meeting his seemingly weak eyes, which I couldn’t get out of my mind.
He groaned, “Of course, I want you to submit,” he growled, running his fingers through his dark hair, which matched his darkened eyes. “But I would never commit to or mark anyone else!” His eyes darkened as he looked at me.
“Fine then,” I mumbled as I covered his mark with my long hair. “This is your choice, but you have to remember that I’m not like your sluts.”
"You kissed me back."
"You don't know the reason why I did that."
For the last time, I look at him like I am battling with my other half. I could feel the pain of his marking and how I wanted to be close with him. And his scent is addicting me that it's pulling me closer to him, but I walk out of the room and look around, trying to search for a warrior.
There's a dead body that I have destroyed but it's not a sign of my despair to stay here. Lucian Jax will do everything to sever this bond that will probably kill me, and I would rather escape.
I run through the vintage looking hallway with my wolf breathing hard inside of me but suddenly, I tripped and my head faced against the hard marble floor.
"Damned it!" I grumbled as I slowly get up and sense a danger and was shocked to see...
It was too late. He's already here.
Cassian Valor stood in front of me—Lucian Jax Valor’s fraternal twin. He was the cold man they spoke of, with eyes that almost looked purple. His blond hair was styled with a slight crown. I wasn’t sure if he would recognize me; he had never caught me before. I couldn’t tear my gaze away from him. He looked like an angel without wings—so gorgeous.
“Your Highness,” I bowed. “I’m sorry I didn’t address you sooner,” I said in a panic. It was impossible to walk past him, especially with so many people in the pack—peasants and Omegas alike—so I hoped he would let me pass.
I tried to walk past him but he gripped my chin. "You think I don't know you?" His deep husky voice sent a shiver down to my spine, my legs are unable to move and his touch is too warm.
“W-What?” I murmured, smiling at him as I tried to calm myself. “I’m pretty sure I’ve served you—”
“Liar,” he frowned, pulling me closer. “I’ve been waiting to catch a glimpse of you, mate,” he added, shocking me the most. My heart began to race, and I could feel my subconscious growling within me.
This can't be . . .
My wolf is already obsessed and linked to Lucian’s. Therefore, I am bonded with him despite his efforts to push me away without trying to reject or sever the connection. Yet, why am I feeling the same pull toward Cassian Valor?
He pulled me closer and sniffed my hair, which smelled so good. Cassian is known as the cold brother who cares nothing for girls, completely opposite to Lucian.
I pushed him away. “Reject me quickly,” I commanded, and my hands shaking.
He raised an eyebrow. “Why would I do that?”
“Because I don’t belong with you, Your Highness!” I pleaded, my hands clasped together, feeling my heart break as I spoke. His eyes scanned my body, and he clenched his jaw.
“I don’t care,” he groaned as he pulled me closer and pushed my hair aside, revealing the mark on my neck. His eyes darkened, almost glowing red, as if his wolf was trying to take over.
“Please—”
“You’re marked,” he said angrily, his hands gripping my waist.
"So, you have a boyfriend?" He laughs. "I bet he's nothing close to me, though," he laughs.
His grip tightened on my waist, fingers digging into my flesh as if to remind me of his power. "You belong to me," he growled, the words rumbling from deep within his chest. His breath was hot against my skin, sending shivers down my spine despite the fire raging inside me.
I tried to push him away again, but his strength was something else. He spun me around, pressing my back against the cold stone wall, his body pinning me in place. His eyes bore into mine, the red hue glowing with a dangerous intensity.
"You think you can escape this?" he whispered like a dark promised. "You think you can escape me?"
His hand slid up my neck, his thumb brushing over the marks that already adorned my skin. "These are nothing compared to what I can give you," he said, his voice rough with desire. "I will claim you so thoroughly that no one will ever dare to touch you again."
I gasped as his lips found my neck, his teeth grazing the sensitive skin. His touch feels like pain and pleasure.
His hand trailed down my body, leaving a burning trail in its wake, until it reached the hem of my dress. In one swift motion, he tore the fabric away.
"You are mine," he repeated, his eyes locking onto mine with a possessiveness. "And I will prove it to you."
“Your Highness, it hurts,” I moaned, my eyes closed. His lips were smeared with blood when he lifted his face, and the pain in my neck grew sharper.
“Now, you’re mine,” he said, his voice softening as he caressed my cheeks.
“Why would you claim someone like me?”
He laughed. “Perhaps it’s because I found you in a room with my brother.”
I gulped when I realized everything. He only claimed me because he's against his brother.
"W-What?"
His laugh was dark and humorless, a sound that sent a chill through me. "Yes, my brother," he said, his hand still caressing my cheek with an almost gentle touch. "Did you think you could slip through my fingers so easily? That you could belong to anyone else?"
My heart pounded in my chest, the realization of his true motive sinking in. "You did this... out of spite?" I whispered, my voice barely audible.
He leaned closer, his lips brushing against my ear as he spoke. "I did this because I can," he said, his voice a dangerous murmur. "Because you are mine, and I won't let anyone else have you. Especially not him."
I tried to pull away, but his hold on me tightened, his fingers digging into my skin. "You think you have a choice in this?" he asked, his eyes blazing with a fierce possessiveness. "You are marked now. You are mine, and I will make sure you understand that."
His lips crashed onto mine, demanding and relentless. The kiss was bruising, a fierce claim that left me breathless and trembling. His hands roamed over my body, asserting his dominance with every touch, every caress.
"From now on, you will remember this," he said, his voice low and commanding.
"Every time you look at these marks, you will know who you belong to."
Tears stung my eyes, but I refused to let them fall. "Why?" I asked, my voice breaking. "Prince Lucian accidentally marked me, and I know he will sever those connection... but I am marked by him, and I can't have two mates."
He pulled back slightly, his gaze softening just a fraction. "I know how to handle you," he said, his thumb brushing away a tear that escaped
"I can sense your power and strongness. I always sense you around, Peniel Genevieve Blue. I've studied you, but somehow, you're too powerful and mysterious that I can't even learn more about you." His words made my eyes wide open. He is really my mate. My wolf knows that but is unable to handle the fact that I also belong to someone else because of an accident.
At least my ability to sense danger and to be hidden kept him from knowing who I am, but I am still in danger. He will know it anytime, and especially that Lucian knows about me.
I finally look at him with fear and anger. "I hate you," I whispered, my voice shaking.
He smirked, a dark, knowing look in his eyes. "Hate me all you want," he said. "But you can't deny me anymore. I was patient with you, but you lost all of my patient when you kissed my brother." He added with disappointment.
I wish I could beg and tell him that I didn't kiss his brother because I want to but I did it because I am the most wanted criminal in this place.
He hold me closer. "It hurts for me to see you cry," he sighs as he touched my lips. "With your power, I know you can help me become the Alpha King and you will be my Luna."
“What the hell are you doing?” I gasped when I heard Lucian’s voice from afar. I could already scent him, and my wolf’s heart began to race, caught between these two men.
His eyes scanned my body and how Prince Cassian held me. They darkened when he saw the marks on my neck, and he clenched his jaw.
“I think it’s obvious—claiming what’s mine,” Prince Cassian said against my neck, his eyes locked on Prince Lucian, who clearly wasn’t pleased. I gasped and tried to push Cassian away, gulping.
“You know I don’t share the position of Alpha,” Lucian said, clearing his throat. “And now you’re trying to share a girl with me too?”
