Jules’ P.O.V.
Jenna leaned back, studying me with a knowing smile.
“You’ve always been one for unexpected turns, Jules. I say, you go for it. Fairview welcomes you with open arms, and I couldn’t be any happier to have you here with me, truly.” She spoke, warming my heart. God only knew I had the best friend in the whole world. And yet, I couldn’t tell her exactly why I was here, just yet. The real reason why I had lost my job. It scared me to even think about it, let alone say it out loud for the world to hear. And to see the hurt in Jenna’s eyes when she would understand how I had let her down.
“So, what’s the plan, moving forward? I mean, in terms of sleeping, you are more than welcome to stay here as long as you like.” Jenna told me, to which I nodded.
