Jules’ P.O.V. I slammed the front door of the bed and breakfast closed behind me, making sure that the door was locked from the inside. This bed and breakfast in the small town of Fairview, which had once felt like my cozy refuge, now seemed to suffocate me with fear because right now, every shadow seemed to be filled with danger, every creak of the floorboards sending a shiver down my spine. I leaned my head against the front door, once I had heard the lock turn shut, as I tried to catch my breath after running my way back from my Uber to the front door.
