A flavor that lingered long after the night had ended. The pull between us had finally pulled us together, in my own damn kitchen out of all places to be. And for the first time in a f*****g long time, I felt as if I was standing on top of the world. As if the universe had aligned to bring me moments of joy and success after having lost both my parents at such a young age.
