To save herself, Alaya ran into the forest. She was panting, exhausted and scared. She didn't notice the pain in her legs caused by the branches scraping her. She was only interested in one thing. Getting out of here as quickly as possible.
Her pace slowed down. However, her tears were getting heavier. She stopped and sat under a tree. While crying, she pulled her own hair. Looking back is something we do from time to time. She walked backwards, hoping the tree was big enough to cover her body and hide her. Returning to her suffering with tears.
"I don't want to be in this terrible situation. I'm not interested in the prizes they're offering me!" she shouted in desperation as she cried.
The sound of approaching footsteps frightened Alaya. She was afraid it was the man in the black hood chasing her. Alaya was terrified. Her body trembled with restraint several times.
The footsteps were approaching her. Her heart raced as she listened to the man walking slowly but surely. The steps stopped after a while. He was not far away.
She didn't say anything. Waiting for what happened next while trying to remain silent. The footsteps slowly disappeared after a while. A sigh of relief escaped Alaya's lips. At least, she still had a chance to breathe and continue her struggle. Get out of here as soon as possible.
She closed her eyes. Taking a deep breath and then exhaling slowly. When she turned around, she saw a dark hooded figure standing there with a knife in her hand.
"Hey, Girl! You're not smart enough to run away from me." the man said with a smirk.
"Aaaaaaa!"
Crasssh!
Alaya's head was instantly severed on the spot. Blood poured out of her severed esophagus. Her head rolled to the ground with a horrified expression.
Meanwhile, elsewhere, Rachel was hiding in the bushes with Sean who was holding her tightly in the same forest. She had a blank expression on her face and was staring down. While looking right and left, Sean continued to be aware. Making sure there was no black hooded figure in the area.
"Hey, Rachel, don't fall asleep!" he said while patting Rachel's cheek.
"Sean, I don't want to be here anymore," Rachel whispered, her eyes teary.
Rachel's face was expressionless.
"You have to maintain your concentration. You'll end up here if you keep crying and being like that!"
"Are you sure we can get out of here?" Rachel asked, clasping Sean's hand in hers.
Sean returned the gaze and told Rachel that they would be safe and continue their lives as usual.
"Can we get out now?"
"Wait," Sean held back. He peeked out and looked around, "It's safe."
They came out of the hiding place and walked quickly while continuing to monitor their surroundings.
"Do you know the way out?" asked Rachel.
"If I knew, I would have left this place yesterday."
Rachel felt stupid for asking that.
"Wait!" she said as she stopped.
Sean looked at Rachel in confusion, "What's wrong?"
"When I was running west, I saw something. It was like a wave or something."
"What do you mean?"
"Come follow me!" Rachel pulled Sean's hand and ran through the forest quickly.
On the other hand, Kayla walked while holding her injured left hand. Although she was not sure if she could survive, Kayla still had the will to live.
Just then, she heard the sound of footsteps moving quickly towards her. Suddenly, Kayla quickly hid in the bushes.
"Are you sure this is the way?" asked Sean.
"Yes, of course. I can still remember it well, you i***t!"
Sean sighed in annoyance. There had been several times when Rachel had sworn at him. If it wasn't for her having a clue, Sean would have left her behind.
Kayla overheard the conversation. Feeling that the two of them were not enemies, Kayla stormed out.
"Hey, guys!"
Sean and Rachel were surprised to see Kayla who suddenly appeared from the bushes.
"Who are you?" asked Rachel.
"I am Kayla. C-can I join you? Please ..." she pleaded with a pitying face.

In another place, a man was grinning happily. He picked up a glass of wine with his hand that was wearing a black glove. The man was also wearing a mask that covered the upper part of his face. From this place, he could clearly see how the game was going. Of the fifty participants, only eight people remained. Some of them had scattered.
The mysterious man raised his hand and snapped his fingers. A man in a formal suit walked over to him. He was ready with his next order.
"Make sure the next challenge is much more difficult than this," asked the mysterious man.
"Aye, sir."
He smiled with satisfaction.
