Hi guyz. This is another one of my books in the making but this one will be a slow update because I am working on multiple books at a time.
This book will contain mature scenes and I will only give the warning here and not throughout the duration of the book so if you are easily offended then I don’t recommend reading this or any of my other books.
Please leave me your comments on what you think so far.

ATHENA POV.
I pull my cloak tighter around my neck against the chilly air as I make my way hurriedly down the steps of the magical mansion towards the iron front gates. The wind whips my long dark hair behind me as I make my descend and I can feel fresh tears burn in the corner of my ocean blue eyes and it feels as though my heart is jumping out through my throat from beating so rapidly. It cannot be true, it just can’t but…
“Miss Storm!” an elderly woman’s voice calls after me with an English accent. “Athena wait…” She calls again and I stop a few steps from the bottom before turning around to face the head instructress of Easton School for the gifted. My whole body is shivering, and it had nothing to do with the cold weather. I’m still in shock from the news that I heard in her office an hour ago. “I need to know Headmistress.” I say when she reaches me, slightly out of breath from running after me, some strands of her shoulder length dark brown hair escaping her hair clip as she descended the stairs.
“Do you think that is wise? You would be safer here If he truly is alive.” She starts but I cut in.
“It’s not him that I’m afraid of, but If he really is alive, Julia, then I wouldn’t be safe anywhere.” I say. Headmistress Julia Castor looks at me with concern and fear in her eyes. I take a step up to her, putting my hand on the older woman’s shoulder in a way to reassure her. “I need to know that she is still contained. If he really is alive and he manages to free her…” I trail off, taking a deep breath. “I’ll need to let my pack know about this.” I say looking at her determinedly and the only thing the headmistress can do is nod. She knows what needs to be done. “I’ll see you in a couple of days.” I say turning back towards the iron gates that had the schools name written on it in bold iron letters. “What should I tell Christian?” She calls after me, making me turn just as I reach the gate, my heart aches at the mention of his name and I swallow the knot that formed in my throat. “He already knows.” I simply say as tears finally spill over my cheeks and I can see the shock on her face.
“You told him?” She asks but it came out more of a statement than a question and I can only nod before stepping through the gate and instantly transporting myself away to my new destination.
I appear at the edge of the treeline of my pack. The Silver Moon Pack. Home to a small community of werewolves, but not the same kind as the Magical ones. Lycans, as we call the wolves from the magical side, are of an older and purer line, uncontrollable during their shift, whilst ours are more a product of genetic mutation, giving us more control of our shifts. Even our transformation forms differ, where they take on a more humanoid form, we take the form of an actual wolf, only bigger and where their bites are venomous, ours are not. You can only be born one of us, which is probably why our communities are so small and only a few exist.
Sniffling and wiping away my tears, I walk across the green lawn towards the packhouse, and I can see my grandfather already waiting for me like I knew he would. As the leader, the alpha of the pack, Nathan Storm can feel when someone enters his territory unannounced.
“Athena! What is wrong, I can practically feel your anxiety.” He exclaims as I come in reaching distance and he engulfs me in a hug. Hugging him back, I inhale his scent, calming my racing heart. I hear him sniffing me in return and I quickly step back. “Grandfather, we need to talk.” I say before he could ask me about the foreign male scent on me from when I spoke to Christian earlier. “Where’s nanna?” I ask as I quickly rush past him into the house towards his office. Nanna is my grandmother, Daria Storm, the luna, the female leader of the pack but unlike my grandfather, she is not a wolf. She is human, a human magical to be exact, which is where I inherited my magical abilities from and my wolf side from my grandfather. Best of both worlds, I guess.
“She’s in the kitchen.” He says puzzled, following me. “Athena, what’s going on?” He asks.
“I’ll explain everything in a few minutes.” I say as I walk into his office. He is dissatisfied with not getting answers straight away, but he nods and heads to the kitchen to find my grandmother. I sit down in one of the chairs in front of the desk.
Shit. Why is this happening again. I think to myself as I lower my face into my hands. My mind is swirling with thoughts of a possibility of another war. And Christian, does he hate me now? Now that he knows the truth about my family. I swallow a sob before it could leave my throat. Maybe I should have waited before telling him the truth, but the news hit me hard and my secrets and emotions that I have been bottling up for years became too much and I caved into the comfort that Christian offered. I broke down in his arms and told him everything. About my family. About Cole Vex. About Catheryn. About Ashlynn.
He looked so hurt and betrayed that I kept something like this from him, especially since he lost his family because of Vex. His parents along with his two brothers when their home was attacked by Vex and his men. It broke him.
Hurried steps catch my attention and I quickly wipe away the tears that have fallen again and stand up. Grand can’t know about my feelings for Christian, he’ll be furious. Grand and nanna enter the office, both have worried looks on their faces. “Nanna.” I greet her as we embrace in a hug. “Athena, what’s going on, what happened?” She asks, looking me over when we step out of the hug. “I’m fine.” I say and quickly go to close the office door. I turn back to them, and I can see that grand is getting impatient.
“Vex is back.” I say and immediately they both pale. “What are you talking about Athena, He’s dead! He burned to death six years ago.” Grand says angrily and I can feel it radiating off him. Nanna just stares at me in disbelief before sinking into the chair that I was sitting in previously. “He did, at least that is what we all thought happened, but we received news from a very reliable source of Head Instructress Castor that there was a sighting of someone fitting his description and he even took photos with his phone, but as soon as he noticed he disappeared. ”I say and my heart races again in fear for the next part that I have to say. “Before he came to us with this information he went underground to find out if there was any knew activity going around and he was horrified to hear a rumour of someone being raised from the dead although they didn’t speak his name, he was convinced that it was him. Her informant says that there are rumours that say that he plans to free his dark lady because he needs her to find something, some object, for him to gain immortality.” I say and nanna pales even more. She looks as though she is about to pass out but grand looks furious. “I will not allow that to happen!” Grand says through clenched teeth, his hands balling into fists. “If this is true what this person claims then I will triple her guards, even move Catheryn if necessary but I will not allow for them to be together again.” He says in a growling voice and nanna puts her hand on his arm. This seems to calm him down a bit, but he is still furious.
“Grand, we need to make sure she’s still contained.” I say and grand nods. “We will, but for now you need to rest, you look far too pale to travel again and I can feel your anxiety. I start to protest but he cuts me off. “I will link the warriors who are guarding her and will send more wolves over there tonight. We will leave in the morning.” He says with a finality in his voice and feel myself nod in agreement, even though I wanted to make sure of Catheryn’s containment tonight, he is still my alpha and I had to obey.
Grand helps my still silent grandmother to her feet before leading us out of the office and bids me goodnight once we reach the stairs of the house. I reluctantly ascend the stairs to the level where my room is, suddenly feeling the exhaustion of today’s events catching up to me. The news of his return, me telling Christian the truth and our fight afterwards and then informing my grandparents, it was all so distracting that I didn’t even hear someone approaching me until a hand took hold of my shoulder.
I yelp in surprise and spin around, my hand coming up in front of me in defence with my thumb, fore finger and middle finger extended and the tips of those fingers glowing in magic while my ring finger and little finger were bend inward towards my palm. The person immediately throws up his hands in a surrender gesture and took a step back. “What the f**k Donavan!?” I whisper yell at him. “Don’t ever sneak up on me like that!” I chastise and try to calm down my racing heart.
“Sorry sweetness.” He says and grins at me. Not at all afraid of the glowing fingertips pointing in his direction. “I smelled your scent and…”
“And what?” I growl warningly at him. “You thought that you’d try your luck and get into my pants! No thank you.” I state, glaring coldly at him. His grin drops from his face, and he takes a step forward until my fingers touched his muscular chest. “It’s time for you to stop this, Ena. Stop resisting and just give into the mate pull.” He says and I can feel his annoyance. “Were not mates Donavan, not anymore. I rejected you, remember?” I say coldly.
“But I didn’t accept it. I’m ready now, ready to stand by your side as the future leaders of this pack.” He says and I can feel myself getting angry. “After you whored around with every woman you could get your hands on, She-wolf or human? And all during the time that you knew we were mates? I don’t think so.” I say angrily.
Guilt flashes across his face. “I know what I did was wrong, but I did it for you.” He says and the disbelief I feel shows on my face. “I needed to get it out of my system before I could settle down with only one woman and I’m ready now.” He says, grinning again. I feel a bit of nausea rising in my throat at the man in front of me. If it were ten years ago, I would have happily grabbed this opportunity and have him screw me senseless but now, now I can’t even stand him in front of my eyes.
“Donavan.” I coldly say his name. “I don’t want you nor do I need you. I’ve moved on. It’s time for you to accept it.” I say and his brown eyes flash to a shade of cold blue. Our kind of wolves’ eyes glow differently to Lycans’. Yellow to show innocence, blue to indicate that he or she has killed before and red for being an alpha whereas Lycans’ eyes only glowed yellow.
Before I knew it, Donavan has me against the wall, one hand around my throat as he shoved my other hand that was pointing at him behind my back. s**t!
“For the past three years I have been very patient with you. Even when I could feel you f**k other men.” He growls and my eyes widen in shock. A smile plays around his mouth as he looks down on me. “Yes, I know, you might have rejected and cut off your connection to me, but I didn’t accept, remember? I can feel when you’re f*****g other men. I can even smell one of them on you right now.” He growls angrily now, his face close to mine. He thinks I am sleeping around with different men; in truth I’ve only been with one man my whole life and that is Christian.
“Let me go Donavan.” I say through clenched teeth, feeling a little panicked but before he could reply, my grandmother’s voice sounds from behind us. “You heard her Donavan. Let her go.” She says coldly and I took in a relieved breath. Even though she is human, he must do what she says because she’s the alpha’s mate, so she outranks him.
He slowly lets me go and turns to her, bowing his head in respect. “The alpha is looking for you.” She says coldly. “Don’t keep him waiting, boy.” She continues and he simply walks away but not before glaring at me a last time and descending the stairs.
I breathe out my breath of relief as nanna steps in front of me, a worried expression on her face. “You alright?” She asks, looking me up and down. I nod. “Yeah.” I say tiredly when I straightened up against the wall. She eyes me sceptically. “Are you sure, I know that this was hard news, heck, even I’m still a little shook up, but you look almost sick.” She says cupping my face to look into my eyes. “I’m fine nanna, it- it’s just been a long day, that’s all.” I say trying to give her a reassuring smile, but in truth, I do feel shaky and a little nausea due to today’s events.
“I’m going to turn in for the night now.” I say unlocking my door with a wave of my hand and stepping inside and flicking on the lights. “Thanks for saving me from Don. Goodnight nanna.” I speak. “Good night, Athena.” She says, still looking worriedly at me before heading further down the hall and I close and lock the door behind me. Feeling too tired to shower, I head straight to the bed, removing my jacket and boots before climbing under the covers. Almost immediately I fall asleep.
