“Adolfo, it seems your daughter has an admirer.” Quila’s mother came into the room with a tray of food. She placed it on the small plastic round table close to the bed. She gave Quila a plate of garlic rice, a sunny sideup egg and a hotdog. Quila picked up the remote control and lowered the volume of the TV that was on. Her father was watching a Western movie. Generally, he loved action-packed films. “Yes, I heard you two talk about that bouquet.” Her father’s oval face grimaced a little. She snorted. “It’s just from some guy.
